Michelle, I always had problems with constipation. I started two benefiber tablets a day, but didn't do it. After some advice from the grad board, I started a heaping tsp of ground flax seed daily in some yogart, hummus or cottage cheese. I also take a stool softener daily. The combo seems to keep me going. Not everyday, but most days and keeps if soft, so I am very happy now. I think Tooter eats a tablespoonful, but I don't need that much yet. And could change, so if I need more, I will take it. Also, some people said they did a couple of stool softeners a day, but one works for me. Hope this helps. Sara

Sorry it has been a while. Yes he is back. We are having so much fun. He is so surprised about the weight loss. The amount of energy I have is great. Do you still have problems eating certain foods? I do. Like most red meat I can't eat. Sometimes I can't eat pork chops either. Sometimes I feel like I am going to become a vegan. How are you doing? I hope everything is great for you. Thanks, Michelle Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Michelle~ I had wondered how you were doing! I don't have any grand words of wisdom other that to drink lots of water which I think will help with the level of calcium. 135 lbs...wow!! That's awesome! Did your husband come back from Iraq? Hope you'll get some help with the constipation issue. Take care, Kerri

Hello everyone. It's 16 months and I have lost about 135 pounds. I am still having constipation problems. Is anyone else? What can I do to help this problem out? Plus I was wondering if anyone is also having problems with Kidney stones? Please if anyone could help me out let me know what I can do. Thanks, Michelle

My brother-in-law just went in for the bariatric surgery today. He was supposedly doing ok and was being moved into recovery when all of a sudden he started having trouble breathing on his own. They put him on a ventilator and he is now in ICU under sedation. Ok....tell me straight up is this a bad thing? Is this common? I went straight into recovery and did not have a problem; however, he is a lot heavier than I was. He is at least 400 or possibly 500 pounds. I was reading on the internet about how some people develop phenominia from being on a ventilator. I was also reading how some people forget how to breathe on their own. My sister is freaking out. My mother is spending the night at the hospital with her tonight. I was there most of the evening. What type of advice do you have for me? Is this normal? Did any of you end up on a ventilator? What was the outcome? Thanks for your advice. Diana

I personally have problems so I can't say I totally disagree with her. Alot of us here have complained of still having food addiction. And I myself have become somewhat bulemic. I guess I can't get pissed off til I see the show myself and see what it is she is saying totally. I do think some people have surgery and still have all the problems before and then some. It is not a cureall for everything, but at least I am alive and have some relief from the medical problems I have had. I think more study would be adviseable on how many people are truly over their food addiction and how many aren't. Wendyh

No tests Diane, just a visit to the gyn and an examination. I was at a level 2 drop. He said I should have surgery to avoid problems later that would get worse. He also told me that to do it lap I would have to do it now before any mesh would be inserted during my hernia repair. Wendy
