11 Month Anniversary and So Close to ONEderland!
WOW! Today is my 11 month surgery anniversary. I can't believe how fast the time went.
As of today, I have lost a total of 180.2 pounds since by lap RNY on June 8, 2005!
As you can see, I am doing the happy dance!!! I have changed so much in the past months. I am a work in progress. My total weight loss including the weight loss from weigh****chers pre-op is an awesome 281.6 pounds. OMG, I lost two 140 people..
Yesterday, I bought two new swimsuits. The big news here is that I bought 2 two-piece swimsuits in the prettiest colors, hot pink and blue/green stripes. I never bought a two piece swimsuit before! I'm getting quite since my surgery. I feel and look a lot younger.
I have my life back again and enjoying it to the fullest. This messageboard and all of you have been the steps in the ladder to get me where I am today. God bless you all!
I have only 3.3 pounds to get into ONEderland. I never thought I would get there, not in a million years. I haven't been this weight since my freshman year in high school. I'm so happy today and have been crying the happy tears. This was the best decision I made in my life. I am a lot more active now. I believe that exercising is a key in our success. Now more than ever, I am going to have to be firm with myself. I am getting to goal in 2006. Whatever I need to do, I will do it. More activity, I say bring it on! My weight goal is 160 pounds. The last 43 pounds are going to be the most difficult to lose. I would like to them away!
We can get to our goal and stay there, together as a family. I love my OH family.
This girl is getting to goal this year!
Any other Junebugs with the same surgery date? I would love to hear from you!
Congrats to all of us this month! Be proud of your accomplishments!!!
Hugs,
Lucy
WOW Lucy!!
I bet you are looking good girl!! That is an awesome accomplishment! I have about 40-50lbs left to my goal also, so I know what you mean about wanting them to just disappear! But you have done great and I know you can do it!
Keep up the good work and post some new pics soon! I love the before and afters.
Wendy
Hi Wendy!
I was able to post a newer picture on the general messageboard, but the surgery date ones were not updated yet. I need to work on my profile and add some before and after pics. The one on this site is from New Years Eve, so I have definitely changed.
I am so proud and happy to be here with my fellow Junebugs!
Thanks for your reply.
Hugs,
Lucy
Hey, I guess it is my anniversary too!! I've got about the same amount of weight to go as well, but I am trying not to focus too much on an exact number. I figure once I get a little closer to goal, I'll be able to better tell where I should land. My RNY doctor's goal was to get me below 250, so I've only got 13 pounds to reach that. I am going to consult with a surgeon on Wednesday about repairing a small hernia and also ask about getting rid of some skin around my middle, and I am sure he will have some ideas as well as to what my goal weight should be. I am wanting to do a little more exercising, but I am waiting on the consult to see what my limitations should be.
ONEderland!!! Wow, it's just around the corner. You should definitely treat yourself to something special for that.
Congratulations!
Jim
Hi Jim! We have something in common. I, too have a hernia - but it's a big one and I've had it for some time. It wasn't the result of this surgery. I will have it repaired along with a TT and lower body lift. I only started thinking about a certain number when I saw my surgeon the last time. I am the type of person who works best when I set goals. So now I am into the numbers, even though I'm in much better physical shape and have gone down so many clothes sizes.
Happy Anniversary and Congratulations to you, too! Sounds like you're doing very well. Hope your hernia doesn't bother you much. Exercising does help a lot both in weight loss and physical health.
Thanks for your reply!

Lucy
