Hi all~ Hope the weekend finds you happy and healthy. Just had to share with you my Wow moment of the day. I finished my first 10k today (6.2 miles!!!!!) It was kinda drizzly, but great for walking. It took me 1 hour, 38 minutes. I am so excited that I was able to complete it! (Remember my post on "I'm such a brat!???) I also posted some new pics on my profile if anyone wants to take a look. I'm hoping that today will finally help me to break in Onederland~ no... I haven't lost that one lb. yet and I'm getting pretty doggone ticked off about it!!! We'll see what tomorrow brings. I've got my fingers crossed. I hope that this will help encourage you guys to find what you enjoy doing and do it. NEVER in a million years would I have guessed that I would be participating in any races...though I don't run, and I couldn't care less about what place I come in. Many of the people on the California board are participating in different marathons. That's what encouraged me to try my first 5k (3.1 miles) in February. I'm still going to shoot for a half marathon in the fall, which is double what I did today. We'll see. Right now, I'm just going to bask in my soreness! Hugs, Kerri

Thanks Mary Jo! Okay~ the 1 lb. still didn't come off...how is that even possible????? I think you need to come and kick it off! Did you find someplace special to wear that hot dress of yours to? IF I ever make it to Onederland, I may have to go buy myself a party dress to celebrate! Hugs, Kerri

Scrappin Gal Kerri, You are truly an inspiration. Wow! I'm so happy for you, completing the 10K. I read your profile and found many things I needed to hear, particularly the prayer where you Thanked God, and talked about writing to get the release you needed. I also related to the struggle to get to Onederland,,,I am 8 pounds from my 150 pound goal and it seems like its never gonna get here...I lost just 2 pounds in April...Time to get serious and step it up...I'm hoping with writing that to you I'll get there! The pictures of you are totally awesome. I hope you are having a great day recuperating! Yours in pounds down, Jen -142 Living a new life and MAKING EACH MOMENT COUNT!

Thanks so much Jen! You know, without God, I couldn't have done any of this! In fact, I was just telling my mom that I felt there was possibly a spiritual component to my not breaking 200. Physically, it just doesn't make any sense. I don't cheat, I get my protein in, I've been exercising~ it just doesn't make sense unless there's something bigger going on than what I'm aware of. So~ today it's lots of praying for me...not to break 200, but to have faith, peace, and courage to continue when I'm so frustrated and know that it will all be okay. I hope you will find that peace as well. You will make it to your 150 lb. goal, and then some. I plateaued big time last month as well. Hang in there~ you can do it!! Hugs, Kerri
