Junebugs---Let's try to go on Oprah and Share our Story
Okay...when I dream.... I dream big. Several months ago I posted that I wanted to organize a shopping trip to celebrate our success.
Well, many of you responded saying that would be great and that you would love to do this, but we are spread so far out across the country---was this realistic?
Well, of course I started to think....who could make this happen?
Well, Oprah of course. Well, I just visited the Oprah website and I posted a story idea to have her bring the Junebugs together to help us celebrate our "Rebirthday".
If you are interested, please visit the website and post that you are a Junebug from Obesity.com and that you are interested in going on the show to share your story.
I have asked OPRAH to help us celebrate with a little makeover magic and some style consulting.
I think we can make this happen!!! I really believe in the power of positive thought, and I think that if enough people submit to their website we will peak the interest of the Harpo Production team.
So how about it? Do you want to tell your story and maybe inspire someone else who is considering bariatric surgery? I want to change the mindset that this is the easy way out. This surgery took a lot of courage, and I feel that we should celebrate our strength and our success.
This is a great idea! It would also be a good opportunity to give a plug for OBH. If someone was on the fence about having the surgery, they would be able to log on and get more information than they could possibly imagine. I wonder if Oprah will actually consider this---wouldn't that be something? I doubt she would have all of us on, but maybe a select few. I'm going to sign the page right now.
