I have to tell you guys something that happened to me this weekend. There is a wonderful coffee shop near where I work and I have fell in love with their big train iced mocha's. Not a good thing... however I was able to find a low carb version on the internet that was acceptable in taste and carbs, sugar..etc. Anyway, I love it with a little whipped cream on top...ok a lot of whipped cream on top! Anyway! I was also able to find a whipped cream with acceptable fat and carb etc. The sad part is...I was looking at the can to see what the serving size was when I realized my can was empty. Now...understand this...I bought the can on Saturday, yea, Saturday THIS week! And just as I was ready to toss it in the trash I read the back to find out the can has 80 servings!

LOL... I can relate... But have a thought for you... if you love whipped cream and enjoy the convenience out of a can... for about $40-80 dollars you can place FAT FREE milk into one of these special containers and it will whip it up for you. It tastes WONDERFUL... full and rich because it is made from milk and not diluted at all... I bet the homemade version contains much less calories... but unfortunately this costs lot of money... Isn't that the way... lots of calories or lots of money... It isn't cheap to eat very well and stay healthy... I don't care what they tell you...

Hey Teena I think the closest maybe either Syracuse Or Rochester NY. I myself live in a small town called Perth which is an hour west of Ottawa. Iam going to Rochester which is a 4 hour drive but, I think I would go anywhere just to have the chance at WLS. Dannette

Danette I think your right about going any where if I really want it. I just don't have alot of people to support me so I wanna make sure I am close to home. But thank You for the help!

Teena-marie, Of the more experienced US surgeons closest to you in the US they would be in order of increasing distance: New Your State (Rochester and New York City); Michigan (Detroit and vicinity); and Northern Ohio. Do rresearch by state for WLS on this site and if you want a duodenal switch, do your research for surgeons on www.duodenalswitch.com. Good luck!
