MISSED DR APPT...

well, i had appt to see pcp this morning at 9:15. i thought i felt a lump in my breast, but since waiting for appt, i keep wondering if it is just in my head and maybe just tissue or something. i was also going to talk to him about BM's and maybe even about my eating habits. anyways... i got there around 9. 9:30 rolled around and i went up to the counter after watching numerous other people being called and asked what was going on. i told them, "if i was 15 minutes late, they probably wouldn't even see me". she went and checked and said i was "next". i am very irritable and get pissed off pretty easy, so waiting and also having my 4 year old whining in my face that she wanted to leave...after 10 more minutes of waiting, i got up and told them i was leaving. WTF? 25 minutes may not seem so long, but when it is 25 minutes PAST my appt time and i am already a very impatient person, i couldn't take no more! i see midwives for my "womanly" problems, so i am trying to call there and make an appt. at least i can set my mind at ease about the lump or bump or tissue or whatever it may be. hugs~mary jo

Girl!!!!!!!!! Go back and see the doc!! Wait and be patient, it is your health you are dealing with! Sometimes you are afraid to find out if it is bad news and maybe you were running away from it? Just a thought. I say go to the doc or the midwives, but go soon. I have 2 friends dealing with breast cancer right now and the sooner you find out the better. And if it is not, then your mind will be set at ease. love, Wendy

hello my little pineapple! i know i should go and maybe i am just afraid of what they will say. i actually just got a call from the office apologizing about this morning and telling me they have some openings for tomorrow morning. i am calling back now (on hold) and will try to get in. i just feel kind of dumb if it is nothing, ya know? but better safe than sorry i guess. hugssssssssss

You really need to go back - pissed or not. However, it does make you wonder how they can get so far behind when its only 9:30 in the morning. I waited 1 1/2 hours at a dermatologist before. I definitly should have left. Be safe and go back. When it comes to a lump you can't be too careful. Good luck! Dawn

Hi David Thank you very much for your reply. You are very informative person, and it gives me a great deal to consider as well as to look into. I really appreciate the support that you have just given to me. It is really nice to know that there are people out there who care about total strangers, and that are willing to help out. I will definetly keep in contact with yourself. I am going to look into all of my options and search through as much information as possible. Hi Thank you for your reponse, it was greatly appreciated. I am so grateful to everyone who has responded. I am so eager to learn about all of my options. I would like to try to lose the weight without any proceedures. However this has been something that I have been trying to do for a long time. So while I continue to try ( I do not like to give up) I would like to learn alot more about other options that I have. aww thanks! i am off everyday now! LOL i am going to enjoy this unemployment, have some time off with the kids! i did get another appt, tomorrow at 10am. i will drop my daughter off to my mom. tuesday is my mom's day off! hugssssss
