OT: Babygirl made it!!!
Woohoo!!! Babygirl has been to dance clinic all week, to tryout for her Dance Team at her school. She's never had formal dance, just gymnastics..but she can dance well. She's worked really hard, and she thought I was being mean to her last night, trying to get her to stick the sharp moves correctly. Well today they tried out, and they give them an envelope which they can't open till they live school. She opened it and started crying huge tears, I was like..what! I had to grab the letter to see she made it! She gonna be now. She is officially a Cougarette. I am so proud of her. Only 8 new girls made it out of like 25.
Ohhhhh Kelli Jo,
This reminds me so much of my beautiful daughter!! She is now almost 23 years old but she was in gymnastics since age 4, then figure skating and she made varsity cheerleading in the 9th grade. But the best thing in the world was 10th grade when she tried out for the dance team. She was an awesome dancer, such a natural and worked so hard. Her dance team did great. She went on to make it as a Vikings Cheerleader out of high school and now teaches dance at the Firm, an adult workout facility in Minneapolis. She is also currently dancing as part of a troup in a show at a dance club, I went to see her last Saturday, wooo hooo. Joy, joy!!! This is just the beginning for both of you. It is sooooo much fun. I was president of the booster club when she was in high school. I had a blast!!! We took the team to Disney World at the beginning of her senior year, they danced there. Have tons of fun!!!! Jo
Thanks Jo! Yea, I was already volunteering to do stuff at the celebration party tonight. I am so happy for her. She surprised me when she told me she wanted to try out...but she gave it her all. That is the first time in her life she cried tears of joy. We have babied her a bit, and though she is responsible as far as getting good grades and behaving, this will be good for her to have something to grow with and show responsibility for.
THAT is too cool!
CONGRATULATIONS and im glad her
efforts paid off and she made the team!
MY daughter will have varsity tryouts
soon for cheerleading and i hope she
makes that. ITS nerve racking on us
parents! IF she dont she will be
on the other cheering teams
she has done which everyone that
registers is on.
