(((((deb))))))) yeah, i was pretty upset, but a little better today. i called the director of the call center today and asked if she would send me the letter of recommendation she told me she would give me. she said absolutely, she will get it out in the mail as soon as she can. remember the job i applied for in another dept, the job i didn't get? well, they have another opening and the guy said i wouldn't have to interview again, just to resubmit my resume. how funny would that be if i got re-hired by another department? not counting on it, but it would still be funny! thank you so much, i really appreciate you being here for me. i am just taking some time to relax and going to enjoy spending time with the kids next week while they are off from school. until they drive me crazy! stupid me, if i had saved some money from taxes, we coulda went on a little vacation, but who plans for these things, ya know? hugssssssss

You know, you had every right to be comfortable and expect a future. Unfortunately most companies do not value employees anymore. It is fine if they fall short, but if you ever do, this is what happens. I sure hope something wonderful comes your way. I was in a meeting once for a company I had been at for years. The manager was telling the older women, who had been there like 20 years more than me that "seniority and loyalty in a company is no longer rewarded" ..this pretty much told it all and showed me where the world was going. Those women were so hurt. Basically, he was trying to open the pathway for all his young college buddies. He got rid of the older folk and moved his buddies in, and guess what, the company did so bad, it went under. Luckily I had left before then, but everyone lost their job. Just goes to show that sometimes it takes that seniority and knowledge to keep things going. However, it is still understandable that you would mourn, as it is a loss. Just remember, you are special and worthy of a great future. Love ya!

it is so true, kelli. am i a top sales person? obviously not, but i still brought in $2000 in revenue in for that company every month, at least. and you know what? i bet out of 50+ reps in that call center, i was probably one of the best customer service reps they have. **** i bet i was THE best they had! i built relationships with customers, they trusted me and came back to me and sent family and friends to me. they lost out and all i did was begin the journey to a new endeavor! i love ya, kj. thanks for reminding me that I AM SPECIAL. hugssssss

Mary Jo think of how much you have change din the last 4.5 years. Think of the new energy, attitude and self esteem you have now. I bet the sedentary job has been cramping yrou new energy levels anyway. If it was in a call center it was proabbly so comfortable for the old overweight you to hide from people. It was a job where people could not judge you by your weight and it helps us hide but still make money. Well honey i bet you do not feel the need to hide anymore. Time for a new job to go with your new lifestyle! So out with the old and in with the new! Love you.. all will work out well.

Mary Jo, I am so sorry to hear about it finally coming around to pass. I know you were worried about it. At least that is behind you now and you can look forward. Have you ever thought about the medical field? I know that most medical supply companies need good customer service people and they train you to do orthotic fittings and such. The medical field is always needing people and people will always need medical help. Look into you local hospitals and Medical supply places. I bet you would love it too. I enjoyed it tremendously and miss it very much. I think I am going to try to get back into the hospital this year. It was like a second home to me. If you need anything let me know. Send me your email address dear and we can talk sometime. Wendy

yes, it is a relief that it is over now. i went up there today, had to drop off a fundraiser for my daughter's school, stuff that people ordered from me. it was weird. it felt like i was supposed to be there, but i had to remind myself that i don't work there anymore. i am going to look into your suggestion. i think that would be something i would enjoy. if the hours were right, i would also love to work in a hospital. i am definitely going to check it out. thanks for suggesting it! love you, wendy! you are such a great friend and support for me!
