Plastic Surgery Consult Today

I had my plastic surgery consult today. I checked into a breast lift and a tummy tuck. I went to see Dr. Christopher Jones. I really liked him, but they don't really submit for insurance. Can we submit ourselves for insurance or does it have to come directly from the doctor? They do offer me a 20% discount because I had my surgery done with GUPTA/CACUCCI/Jones. His wife (JONES) is a bariatric surgeon so they offer a 20% discount to patients that had their bariatric surgery performed at this office. So here is the break down of the price: Abdomioplasty Standard - Standard Fee 4,200 Fee with Discount $3360.00 Standard Mastopexy Bilateral Standar Fee $3,800 Fee with Discount $3,040.00 Total Discount $1,600 Total Sureon's Fee $6,400 Operating Room: $1,570.00 Anesthesia: $1,637.00 Overnight Stay: $400 Total Other Fees: $3,607.00 Total Cost: $10.007.00 I was hoping that I could get my breasts covered by insurance at least. They did not seem to even entertain the thought of submitting for insurance. My next consult is with Dr. Turkle on April 11th. After this, I will start to make my decision about plastics. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Weight update: I am 146 pounds. I am two pounds away from the century club, and I am 8 pounds away from my goal of 138!

It took me several trips to different doctors before I found one that would send in insurance but still have to pay 75% up front just incase they don't pay. Had my facelift yesterday whi*****luded brow lift, upper eye lift, lower and mid face lift with lipo for the neck and neck lift for a total of $9450.00 Thought that was great. All is selfpay on this one. Surgery went well and I don't look bad for the day after but can take 6 months to 1 year for the total effect he said. Be patient and if you don't like them call another one. You do better when you like your doctor and you can communicate with them well. Don't be afraid to ask and call back and ask if you don't understand and there are good ones that will file insurance for you or at least help you file it.
