Finally took the plunge...

It's been a long time since I posted. Mostly I just come and read a little. Anyway, had my surgery 06/10/05 and have lost a total of 120 pounds!!! I am wearing a size 6 and sometimes even a size 4!!! Unbelievable! I am having the time of my life. No complications whatsoever! I never get sick. I feel like I'm 20 years younger! I've never tried sugar and never will, cause I'm so completely happy with the results of this surgery and I never want to go back to being obese. Anyway, I've never posted a pic because I kept the surgery a secret from all but my immediate family and a handful of my closest friends. But, I've done it now! I sent my pics in to be posted. Don't know when they'll actually be up - was told to be patient, it could take 2 weeks or more. Still, when it happens, I'll let y'all know. Thanks Junebugs, for all the support you've been so willing to share, even if I am only intermittent with my posts! It's been so awesome to come and read and know I am not alone in my journey.

CONGRATULATIONS on being a total success! I also never tested the waters with the sugar as i fear if i dont dump i might lean toward my old bad habits. I am so gla your feeling so well and cant wait to put a face to your post. LISA

Congratulations on your great accomplishment. I cant wait to get in a size 6. I am headed to 8's now or 7-8s. I wear 9-10s now or womens 10's. I love clothes shopping now. Its so much fun.

Girl, I sooooo know what you mean!!! I have been a total clothes fiend since I no longer have to buy old ladies' clothes!!! Now the only problem I have is that I never realized how difficult it is to buy cute, stylish clothes at my size that aren't either cut to the navel or missing half of the material! I never really noticed before, but small women who dress modestly really have to put effort into it! Still, what a great problem to have!!!!
