Yummy Lunch!
Hello My fellow June bugs,
I posted this on the main message board but I thought that I would share it with you also. I usually just answer in replys, so I thought for once I actually have something to post myself.
I just had a yummy lunch and I thought that I would share. I took one slice of low carb bread toasted, one tablespoon peanut butter and I saw the honey in the cupboard so I thought I would check the calories and it only had sixty calories per tablespoon, so I drizzeled on about 1/2 a tablespoon on my sandwich. Man was that good, tasted like a little slice of heaven(I have a thing for peanut butter). Just thought I would share.
Natures own bread 60 cal/7carbs/6pro
Peanut butter 90 cal/3carbs/4pro
Honey 30cal/9carbs/0pro
for a grand total of 180 cal/19carbs/10pro
I know it is a little high on the carb end but for me it is worth it. I will have chicken and green beans for dinner to keep is low carb for the remainder of the day.
Have a great day.
Lynn
Wow! That does sound yummy!! Did you use sugar-free peanut butter? Peter Pan makes sugar-free peanut butter that tastes just as good as regular peanut butter! Won't the peanut butter with the honey bother your stomach?
I had one vegetable egg fu yung patty--yummy! 100 calories and 7 grams of protein.

Egg foo yung, that sounds yummy, I havent had chinese since my surgery. As for your question, no, sugar doesnt seem to bother me, at least in small quantities. I have never ventured into anything with a lot of sugar. Sometimes fat gives me a problem but I havent figured out what the particular amount that causes it is. But the peanut butter did bother me when I was early out from surgery but it doesnt now, at least in small quantities.
