Keeping Focus & Drive to Reach Goal

June Bugs I have 30 to 35 pounds left to lose to reach my goal weight. I find myself struggling each day not to graze. I'm offering a call to action for anyone who is facing the same struggle. Prior to and early in the weight loss, I was totally focused. I charted everything and would not slip one thing in my mouth that did not lead to my goal. Lately, I have not had that same determination or spirit. I would like to get a group of us who are struggling form a team to the finish line. If you are struggling with head food issues but have a strong desire to finish our desired weight loss, maybe joining in with each other to make short term plans, goals and to encourage each other and push all of us to succeed, let me know. I do not want to be one of the one's that only lose 75% of their weight. Let me know if this sounds like you and you want to team up for the next couple of months. Better together!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Kathy

Count me in! I'm having the same trouble focusing on my goal! I'm 20 pounds from my goal and then my surgeon said that I only need to lose 5 or 10 more...I think that kind of de-motivated me a little bit. I've observed that I've been eating more especially the last week. I want to go all the way!!! I don't want to be satisfied with almost!!! I'm wearing size 8's but my BMI is still 26. something and I'd like for it to be in the middle of normal...the planner here says I should weigh 134 for a BMI of 23. something. That sounds like heaven to me! I have also really let me exercise slip, again, not feeling real motivated to do it... We can do this!!!! How are we going to structure our accountability? Well it is nice to know we are not alone in how we are feeling right now. I have 10 pounds to my original goal but to get my BMI in the normal range probably about 16 to go. The grazing is making me crazy. I try hard to make it good healthy things but have managed to find sugarfree goodies that I have to work hard to avoid. I am going through the dreaded "change" and chocolate is screaming for me daily. We have all done so well and I am proud of how we have gotten through all the changes so far! Congrats to all! I would love to keep each other up when the days get hard and cheer each other on for every pound we continue to shed through this new phase of our journey! Maybe someone could pull together an e-mail list for us to keep track of along with the board. I have to admit that I am not the best at keeping track of all that stuff. Between running a business, 3 kids at home and one getting married in two weeks, and the regular everyday stuff I am a little scatterbrained at the moment. Anyway great idea and again you all are doing FANTASTIC!! Gayle Davis

Kathy girl, sign me up!!!! I've been struggling since the holidays to re-focus and keep plugging away to goal. In fact, I gained back about 15 pounds and it's taken me 2 months to get rid of them. I'm now rid of them and back on the losing side of things. I want to stay that way!!! I'm down to 95 pounds to go to my personal goal. Need all the support and help I can get to get there!!! Kathy, OMG!!!! I'm so happy that you posted this offer of support... in reading everyone's post here, I feel like just saying "Ditto"!!! I was doing so wonderful until the Holiday**** then I discovered all the yummy sugar-free goodies out there. Now I crave them daily. I have only managed to lose 8 pounds since Christmas.... and, just 2 days ago, the scale jumped UP 5 whole pounds!!!! Too much Sugar-Free Moose Tracks flavored ice cream, I suppose. HELP!!!! I'm really getting afraid... I, too, have about 30 - 35 pounds to go to get to goal. I'm down about 142 pounds total (121 lbs since the 6th of June). But, I am so worried that I'm losing my focus. Please sign me up for whatever you have in mind. Thanks for posting this attention getter. Sincerely, Karen

Hi Kathy, Don't know what you have in mind but you can count me in!!! I've actually started going to a food issues group for women at my church. It's amazing tha, no matter what a person's issue is, most often the underlying issues are the same. I still have 33 lbs to my surgeon's goal, 63 lbs. to my personal goal. It gets really frustrating to be still over 200 lbs. I really thought I would be under that, but, alas, still 13 more to go. Ahhhh.... Let me know how you would like to set up a support system. Thanks! Kerri
