Lisa's post gave me the courage to ask this... Have any of you been experiencing pain or discomfort when you get into an intimate situation? I just had an annual exam, and my gyn thinks it may just be my body resettling. I plan to ask my surgeon when I see him next week for my nine-month as well, but I thought I'd tap into the wealth of knowledge here as well. Thanks. Nicole 6/7/05 Lap RNY 312/161/150

Sorry, I have not had this problem. Not saying I won't on down the line. Sorry to hear about that, hope all is well and it works itself out without complications to you. Wishing I could have helped Blessings Deloris

YES! I thought it was just me. It's wierd. I don't know what I had in my head, but somehow I thought losing all the extra fat would *ahem* make it "roomier" *ahem* but the total opposite has been the case - imagine mine and hubby's surprise to learn that it SHRINKS. I'm guessing it will all balance out in the end... Pam

NICOLE im so glad my post inspired you to ask because i do find that here i get more information then doctors and surgeons because were all going thru the exact same thing. I am shocked that other gals are having similar breast pain as me. UNFORTUNATELY, im not in a good marriage so really cant answer this question at this time. BUAT i am sure others will help you out! Lisa and the others: My doctor said that with weight loss comes hormone craziness, thus the breast pain and dry vaginal area. Estrogen is stored in fat cells, so when you start losing them rapidly, your hormones go nuts. I'm on HRT and have gone from 0.5 to 1.5 mg estrogen since surgery. My doctor said the hormones eventually stabilize as the weight stops coming off. I'm not having the breast pain but the just like Ginger, the "incredible shrinking vagina" and dryness. Also, very low sex drive. Hope it stabilizes soon!!!

Yeah, breast pain here, too. I thought it was hormones even though it's not been much of an issue in years. Good question for my nine month follow-up on the 14th. I'll let ya'll know what my doc says. As for the other discomfort, yeah, too. My DH noticed bony body parts bothering him a while back, but now it's me with the problem. I thought it might be a lubrication/appropriate foreplay problem. But that shouldn't be a different requirement than before... Good questions I've not thought about being related before. Let me know what you find out! Kristie

Nocole, YES I went through that myself only a month ago but it seemed to correct itself. Kind of weird and I guess it took a little bit of readjusting inside and all is ok now. I am glad you posted this question....THANKS Debra P
