Having a face lift in 21 days
I am really glad to hear I am not the only one that see their self different than others. I still see the fat, I see I lost but I don't see thin. Thanks for the encouragement and I will dance one for you too. So very happy to be able to dance again and not look like a water buffalo. Well maybe a small water buffalo. Ha!

Yeah, my family and work friends tell me to stop too, but I think they are just so used to seeing me FAT that they don't remember me not fat. I probably do look like a stranger to them, but I'm not quite to the person in my mind yet. I am losing MUCH more slowly than in the first five or six months, and it seems that I eat all of the time (I'm careful about it, of course). I'm just trying to get used to eating like a "normal" person, and my body hasn't found where it wants to be yet. As long as I'm eating and exercising, I'll let it take over from here.
They don't see where I need a tummy tuck or lower body lift, either - well, my DH does, but he would never say it. There are some things the world does not get to provide input about, and this is definitely one of them. Besides, by not being the "fat one" we've messed up the dynamics of many relationships. It will take a while still for everything and everyone to readjust. Those kinds of things take much longer than most people think.
Let me stop now, I'm seeing the Psychologist in me coming out. Just remember, you're doing GREAT, and you should do what you need to be comfortable in your new body. You have to live with it for the rest of your life.
Keep up the GREAT work!

I was lucky in the fact that my face was the first to lose. I don't have much fat left on it at all. Things pretty much went back to normal. I'll have to post a recent picture. My legs on the other hand are a nightmare. They started wrinkling almost immediately. My stomach and boobs are next in line. Yikes! My skin has decided that it is not going to shrink back up at all. I'm going to need A LOT of plastic surgery.
Good luck with your face lift. You are going to look great!!!!!

I think my age and the fact my mother and sister have the same hanging jowls, and they have never been overweight, may have played a big part in my face being so wrinkled and hang dog look. The weight helped too!!! Believe me the rest of me looks just as bad!!! Starting at the head and working my way down......
Thanks for the vote of confidence
