are you still lossing
No! You are NOT crazy... not at all.
I think that you will find that most of us June-bugs have slowed way down. I really haven't been keeping good records, though. I didn't think that I'd lost even as much as 3 lbs since the beginning of January, cuz, I haven't really seen the scale moving. However, I went to my PCP's office today and was surprised to hear that I'd dropped 8 lbs. since my last visit at the beginning of January. Not too bad... I think. I would really be worried if it were still coming off as fast as it was in the beginning of this process.
My all-time high was 321 lbs. prior to surgery... then I managed to lose 22 lbs. and was 199 lbs. on the day of surgery. Since my surgery on June 6th, I have lost 130 lbs. and still want to lose another 20 - 30 lbs. before it is all said & done.
At 5'8", my doc thinks that 150-ish would be a healthy & realistic goal.
Thanks for checking in with us! I wish you continued success on your journey....

Amy,
Thanks for checking in with the Juners.... We're a pretty supportive group. My weight lose has also slowed but I still managed 12 pounds last month and 8 days into my ninth month I've already dropped 8lbs. I had a lot of weight to lose (started at 392 now at 234) and also had hernia repair surgery last week so that has helped with the weight loss. Keep the faith and use you month board for support it helps!

Amy,
Not crazy at all hun....
I am slowing down so much now, it was only 4 lbs for Feb... I did start to add exercise now which I should have been doing from the start but we will see if that helps for March. ~crossing fingers~
Take care and have a great day! ~hugs~

Your not crazy and you can ask us anything anytime. My weight loss has slowed quite a bit this month. I have lost 6 lbs in Feb. Thats my slowest month so far. I only have 24 more lbs to my dr's goal so I expect it to slow down considerably now. Once the warm weather gets here I will get out more and walk. That should help to speed it up.
I'm a slowwwwwwwwwwww loser, down to 7 pounds since the beginning of the year. I've been bouncing between 170 & 171 for the last 2 weeks. But at least it never goes up more than a pound, LOL
Good luck and continued success.

Hi Amy,
I have actually been pretty frustrated with the slow down too...I have only lost 10 pds since the beginning of the year. Day of surgery I weighed in at 280, and have only lost a total of 90pds....I still have 40 pds to my goal of 150. I am really buckling down on my diet and exercise but I am worried that I may not meet my goal by my year anniversary of 6/21/06. They say that you stop losing after you hit your year anniversary, so I am a little freaked and not sure why I am not losing.
My daily routine: calories under 700, carbs under 21, protein 70-80g, water about 96 oz., 1/2 hr power walk, and all vits everyday.
Just want you to know I am right there with ya, girl!

I'm glad I read this thread! My loss has slowed a lot as well. Glad to know it's not just me!!! When I had my 6-month check-up in January (yeah, we're a month behind schedule on my check-ups!), I was down 115, to 233. Now finally down to 230. I did gain back about 15 pounds and had to lose that again. But that went VERY slowly. Have been hoping it's because I've upped my workout -- from water aerobics 3 times a week to Curves 5 times a week -- and the fact that the muscle weighs more than the fat. We'll see!!
