I have gone from a BMI of 58.2 when I first thought about surgery to 54.9 on the day of surgery to 34.6 & am merely obese now! I also had a wow moment yesterday at my oncologist's office. The receptionist didn't even recognise me & I've been going there for nearly 5 years. She had so many nice things to say I told her any time I get depressed I would come see her to make me feel better. highest 350 b4 surg 330 now 208 Kathy O.

Kathy, Congrats on your lower BMI, that really shows how far we have come. I am Obese as well and can not wait to reach the overweight and then the normal. It sure feels good right? Take care and thanks for sharing. ~hugs~ Debra P

Oh good for you. That is what i love about this web site... if you were to say that to an average size group of friends you woudl get that nervous curtousy laugh. You know the one that makes you realize they are still horrified for us. But here we all completely understand. GOOD FOR YOU! Keep up the good work. You are doing great. I started at 344 and am only down to 230. You are at 208 which is my next goal. I have not weight that since i was in 6th grade. That is why it is my next mini goal. Only 22 lbs to go.

Hi Paula It sounds as though you're doing great too! I'm amazed I can admit how much I weighed-this time last year I would have died rather than tell how much I weighed. Let's keep up the good work. Kathy O.
