Oatmeal Pancakes
I had been craving pancakes for weeks but avoided the temptation because of all the carbs. Someone posted this recipe on the Michigan board . She said she had seen it on the main board so some of you may have already seen this. But I made them last night and oh my god it was so yummy!!!!!!!
I think the next batch I make I am going to experiment and add some of the sugar free syrups I have. I had bought a ton of syrups to make steamed milk drinks, but warm milk gets me SICK!!! So now I may have a use for all of them....lol
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup cottage cheese
1 egg
dash of milk
vanilla and cinnamin to taste
Blend all items together (great recipe for the magic bullet) and fry in pan. I poured entire contents in the pan and it made one huge and thin pancake.

Lisa,
Sounds good to me as well....I am with Kerri, is the oatmeal cooked or uncooked? do you happen to know the nutrional info on this? I can not wait to try this......THANKS.

Sue, I think Fitday made a mistake. 1/2 cup of oats is 150 calories, 1/4 cup of cottage cheese is 50 calories, one egg is 90 calories. A dash of milk is negligible, say 10 calories. Comes to 300 total. (got my info right from the packages)
Protein: egg: 6 grams, cottage cheese: 7 grams, and oats: 6 grams.
Total is 19 grams.
I didn't do the rest of the calculations. I think this is a great breakfast subsitute---I'm still doing protein shakes for breakfast and am mighty sick of them! I'm supposed to have 1000 calories a day and just can't find a way to get it all in---end up usually with 750 or so. 300 in one big pancake would help out a lot I think.
