I home and finally feeling human again

Hi all, I'm sorry it has taken so long to post an update. I had my hernia repair on Thursday but did not come home until Saturday morning. They ended up having to do an open proceedure because of all the adheasions. It ended up that that was a better choice since I ended up with a mini tummy tuck. The tighted muscle and skin and removed the large incision, replacing it with a much smaller one. I could still use a tummy tuck I'm sure but will NOT go through that pain again. It was the worst pain I have ever experienced. On top of all the the surgery stuff, I ended up in the ER yesterday with intense Gout pain. It has finally subsided and I feel some what normal with a little abdominal pain. I see the surgeon on Friday and hope to return to work next Monday but we'll see. He has me on a thick liquid diet so I'm now getting a little hungry. I hope I've at least lost some weight. Heath says I have lost a lot but we'll see. Hope everyone is well. Chip

(((chip)))) so glad to hear from you! sorry for all the pain you have/are experiencing, but YEAH for the mini tt! that's pretty cool and even though it is not the full-blown tt, i am sure it will make a world of difference! take things slow and get yourself back to healthy! don't over-do it! hugs~mary jo

Thanks everyone! I'm feeling better each day and go back to the surgeon on Friday. I'm going to increase my walking today. I have no clue if I've gained or lost weight. I know I'm not as dehydrated since my rings fit again. Chip
