My pouch still works!
Hello fellow Juners! I hope everyone is enjoying their Valentine's Day right now.
I was just getting ready to prepare dinner when I grabbed a handful of potato chips and wolfed them down, then I grabbed my ice tea and took a few gulps off it. OK this is breaking A LOT of rules!!! Gulping, snacking, potato chips=bad, drinking while eating, etc.
Well FINALLY my pouch decided to teach me a lesson and about 2 seconds after gulping down that ice tea I started to puke my guts out for about 20 min. It was my first time throwing up as a post-op and I am really surprised that nothing really came up. Just foamie stuff? Weird. Anywho, I am happy that my pouch works but I bet it will be angry with me for the night so I better just give i****er, do you think? Good thing we weren't going out for dinner.

it's good to know that it still works. i had a 3lb loss after not seeing the scale move for about a month. i had a similar experience to your foam vomit recently too. i gulped down some sprite after taking a couple bites of my sons noodles and felt like i was going to choke to death. wont do that again. the pouch like to remind us who is boss every so often.
Wish mine would talk back to me!
The only time I have ever become sick as in "dumping" was when I ate some Dannon yogurt about 2 months post op...
Other than that I had "foamies" from eating too fast or simply because my tummy thought my 100 chews of chicken weren't quite chewed enough! Yeah, LIke i'm going to chew on chicken for more than 100 bites... no thank you...
So I try to keep with the baby food spoon when nobody is around thinking I can psyche myself into eating less... I miss foamies... I wish I had them now. and I missing the feeling of being full on a single strawberry!
Now I can eat whole pack... adn try to only eat a half... but find if it I don't specifically pack up that pack of strawberries, the whole pack is gone in a day. Good food, just too much.
sigh...
