FEEDING FRENZY~Please stop the madness!
Ok, this Superbowl really messed me up! I am a little over 7 1/2 months out. I am losing beautifully, with a total loss of 120. I have about 30 to go to goal. Anyway, I don't know if it was the superbowl party that did this, but I have been on a FEEDING FRENZY for about 24 hours now. I don't know what to do with myself. Ladies, I also think this happens to correspond with my upcoming "cycle". UGH!!!
For some reason, my pouch seems to have been made bigger than most to begin with. I haven't worried about it, because I lose about 10 pounds a month. Sounds good to me! But now that I have been oinking out, I am sorry I have such an easy time. I have been able to eat anything since early on. Not one incident of dumping, vomitting, NOTHING~
I ate chips and a lot of veggies yesterday. (Well, with DIP of course) Looking back, it wasn't as bad as all that. Today, however, I had cheerios for breakfast, then a soft pretzel at "snack time". (I am a teacher). I subbed for the 6th grade and the teacher had "FAT" food ALL OVER THE PLACE. Everywhere I looked, there were bags and bags of candy. I ate 3 pieces of this "fun taffy". I love that..and I guess 3 is better than 4, but STILL!! Then I had a ham sandwhich for lunch, along with a banana..and a little bit of applesauce. UGH!! I want to scream.
Anyway, I know that only I can prevent my PIGGING OUT, but I just don't get how after months of excellent behavior, here I sit! Head shaking, and stomach swelling. Any words of wisdom would be welcome!
Thanks all!

Rossanna,
First off relax! It was one 24 hour period and now you can get back on track! Although I have never had a pig out on anything with sugar in it, I too had two days where I ate way too much and the wrong things. I had a sm bag of chips, an entire cornbeef sandwich and French fries. The next day I ate fried onion rings and an order of chicken wings. I ended up feeling VERY full and VERY sorry. The good news is that I got back on track within a few days and actually dropped a large amount of weight the next week. The added fat and carbs jump started my weightloss. I learned I was not getting in enough calories and my body was craving more calories and this probably lead to the big overeat. I then uped my protein and calories and my weightloss is back to over 10 lbs for the month. Today is a new day get back on track with your water and protein and stay away from the sugar. It is easier said than done but you can do it. You have done well at using your tool so far, 120lbs is just awesome.
Chip
I have found that ANY food like crackers, chips, etc. turn into "sawdust" like consistency in the stomach and therefore, quantities of these foods can be consumed without any signals that you have overeaten. They have absolutely no nutritional value to us.
I ordered the new book from Matrix about Emotional Eating. I have just started reading it. I hope I am not disappointed, because the cost of it plus shipping was 30 dollars and the book is a small paperback. I think it was way too much money!
Since potato chips are my number one trigger food, I have to do what ever it takes not to fall into a trap with them ever again.
