just wanted to add that this same thing happens to people looseing rapidly on atkins.... I was told to try the supplement EVENING PRIMROSE, which i did when i was looseing with atkins and it helped. I did try it since surgery but i think its not getting absorbed well and didnt seem to help! MAYBE you want to give that stuff a try! LISA

Paula, OH YEAH, not as much now as before but I have my times still... I thought it was because I was mourning food, getting upset at the world because I can not eat like I used to. I just have to be careful when I am feeling pissed off. I tell my hubby I am feeling that way and he helps me through it. I am pretty sure this effect is normal, well I would like to think that way anyways. Take care Debra P

I guess I'm the odd man out. I think I'm generally nicer to be around, since I'm so much happier with me. At one of our support group meetings they asked the SO's to share how this surgery has affected them...my DH said "Remember the saying if Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy? Well all I can say is Momma is lot's happier!" Remember, no matter how you feel inside, you have the choice of words and actions. Take a deep breath and choose carefully! Everyone will be happier for it! Here's to happier days! Cindy 234/158/134

Unfortunately I think that my kids would agree that I am generally much quicker to get upset than before, but I am convinced it is because now I feel better and the things that I just had no energy to care about before get to me now. On a side note everytime I read a post of yours I wonder whether you are a Carlisle by birth or marriage. My maiden name is Carlisle, what about you? Gayle

Thanks for this post. I am an august post op. I check on you guys to see what I have to look forward to. But, I am very easily irritated lately. I suddenly have a short temper. I have always been very good at keeping my emotions in check. (To a fault) and now I am a lot more aggressive. So, hopefully, this too will pass. Thanks for the post Apryl 245.5/180.5/140

War Path!!! OMG you guys are the best. Here I thought I had gone around the bend. My husband thinks that also. I argue with everyone and get upset over the stupidest stuff. I seem to not be able to get along with anyone from my mother to my daughter. I flare at people I don't even know. I am so glad to read this and now know that in this to I am not alone. Thanks for making me feel normal again. I needed that. Now maybe I can calm down and not worry about the dishes in the sink or the ones that need to be taken out of the dishwasher and put away.
