I have had an awful day today and need some help. First off my daughter turned 21 today which is a very good thing. Second my neice, who lives with me, had her 10th birthday party today (a slumber party with 10 girls!!). Now my problem is my neice has been terrible the whole time and I have even told her I was ready to call her friends parents to come and get everyone. Because of all the stress I have eatten all the wrong things; birthday cookie cake (small amount), not eating my meals on schedule, nibbling at small items that I know I should not have. Before my surgery that is what I would do when I was under a lot of stress and I am so scared that I will go back to my old ways. I am surprised at how easily I can fall back into my old routine. Lately I have started dropping pounds again after being at a stand still for a while; about 3-4 lbs this week and I do not want to mess this up. I guess I just needed to vent. Thank you for listening. Tomorrow is a new day and I know I can do much better.

OKAY you slipped up! We all do. THE key is you will wake up tomorrow and get 100 percent back on track! DRINK extra water today to flush the bad out of your system and keep today on track. HANG IN THEIR stress gets alot of us. THING is you no you messed up a drop, you admitted it and now you will start perfect tomorrow and not let this snowball more then one day. GOOD LUCK((HUG))) lisa xoxox

Read Lisa's post again... print it, memorize it, whatever you have to do! We all need to! I firmly believe that so many of us have been "failed perfectionists", in other words, if you blew it, it's over and we might as well give up. That is what brought me to needing WLS in the first place and that is the thinking I need to change. Make sense? It is only one day, one day won't matter in the long run. You can do this! We can do this! Good luck honey!!! Hugs! Jo

Laural, I know I am last in posting this but I have to agree with everyone else that posted, we all will mess up from time to time we are not perfect and that IS OK! Our big think now is to make sure we pick ourselves up and get right back on track! Something we would have NOT done before! We all have to learn this new way and I am not sure we will ever fully control this, we are addicts for life with food and it will be something we have to live/understand for the rest of our lives but we CAN DO THIS! We have this awesome tool now and if we use it right we will do great. Take care hun and keep us posted... ~hugs~ Debra P
