That is so amazing! She is very brave to put that online.
Do you know if there have been many discussions on excess skin on the board (I'm new to posting here -- and I haven't looked in in ages.)
My skin is doing pretty well. I've been using the Pure Simplicity stretch mark solution body butter for months and it seems to be helping. (It comes from Bath and Body Works and here's the link: http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2095350&cp=2073258.2083085.2078968&parentPage=family
) I do have stretch marks in several places, which is the reason I started taking it. But it also seems to be helping with the elasticity and texture of my skin. Is there anyone else out there who's tried this? I also exercise a LOT -- I've been lifting weights for years, long before I even considered surgery.

Wow - I'm scared to comment after looking at that lady's photos. She's had to really go through some stuff. I know we all are different in the way our body handles the post-op WLS stuff -- wow.....but I would not want to wish anyone having all that extra skin to deal with. I understand that it is harder to be obese than it is to live post-op WLS in a healthier shell...but wow -- she did not begin to really show that extra skin load until way later after the weight began to really come off which means -- I guess it can hit any of us and the more weight we have to lose from the begining, the more chance we would have of having all that extra skin.
I've been lucky so far as not losing any hair post-op WLS so maybe I'll be lucky enough to make enough good choices and not have to deal with all that extra skin.
I know the extra skin is better than having all that skin filled up with fat - -ouch...but that's a lot of stuff to deal with in trying to resolve issues with extra skin.
I have to admit that the lady in those photo has really came a long way and deserves the new and healthier her post-op WLS and plastic surgery.
Hi Wendy!!
Thanks for sharing Caroline's photos!! It is great for everyone to see what is possible with weight loss surgery and plastic surgery...
I have met Caroline at an Obesity Help convention.... please believe that she is even more beautiful on the inside than she is on the outside!!! She is a wonderful lady!!
Good luck with your weight loss!! Keep up the great work!

I think my favorite picture that certainly empitomizes the emerging butterfly is the one of her laying on the bed with the skin pooled around her.
All i could think of was it looked like was that had melted off a candle. Amazing that you can see her new beautiful body peeking through when all teh skin woudl fall to the bed. Very poignant.
