Anyone else having trouble staying warm? I had to put socks on my hands last night in order to feel warm enough to sleep. I've been sleeping with socks on my feet for a while, but I've felt colder lately. I keep my thermostat at 68 and it gets in the 30's outside at night. I always sleep with an extra blanket (and two golden retrievers) to keep warm. I've also stocked my wardrobe with lots of different jackets (previously just one was fine because I usually didn't need it.) Now I am wearing jackets all the time. I can definitely tell a difference in my intolerance of cold. I wonder if I'll be more tolerant of heat when summer comes? I used to sweat a lot. Thanks y'all, Kim SW 306 CW 183 GW 150

Burn more coal, oil and gas... polute polute polute... More greenhouse effect please!!!!!!!! I hope the earth warms by 20 degrees..... LOL just kidding about the global warming but at this rate I may have to move to a warmer climate and this has been a mild winter in Philadelphia!!!!! BRRRRRRRRRR, Chip

You want warm? Move to AZ!!! WE hit 90 degrees in January this year! The summers are h***$#!! But the rest of the year is absolutely amazing! Cant wait for my first 'thin' summer - its going to be a blast to be outside doing fun activities in a pretty swimsuit!

Hi Chip, Cute emoticon ! It does look like chattering teeth!! My sister-in-law crocheted a lap blanket for me for Christmas. It's my constant companion when I'm on the computer. I'm going to call her now and thank her! Kim

Hi Kim, I have'nt had the surgery yet but I can't wait to be cold. But my feet do get cold in the evening and I can't get to sleep if my feet are cold. So this is what I have done. I made several different size rice bags (for lap, feet, neck, back, joints, whatever) All they are is a fabric bag filled with uncooked long grain white rice. You put it in the microwave for 3 to 6 mins, depending how hot you want it. It feels like a moist heat and stays warm for an hour or so. You reuse it over and over, forever. Just don't get it wet. I make a pillow case cover for them so I can wash the cover whenever. I like to put eucalyptus oil (2-3 drops) on the pillow case if I feel a cold coming on. Just don't lay your face directly on the oil part. I also put lavender oil on the pillow case sometimes which is relaxing, just don't over do, a few drops work fine. I just love these things. Hope this helps you. Cheryl

That sounds like it feels so good -- I'll have to try it. Best of luck on your surgery! Kim

What an appropriate post!!! I was telling my mom that I'm having a hard time getting warm. At Christmas, I constantly had 2-3 blankets on me. My Laz-Y-Boy is my best friend since it has a heater in it that warms by back and fanny. I even had a parent come into my class and tell me that I had crossed over to the dark side. When I gave her a quizzical look, she replied that my room is now boiling when it used to be like a refrigerator. I had to laugh! Stay warm, all! Kerri

Cute about the "dark side!" I wonder if our cold sensitivity will level out? I doubt it since some of the surgery vets in my support group are still having the "chill" problem.
