Hey all June Bugs! I had surgery on June 22, 2005 and had lost 80 lbs. as of my 6-month date. Now, in the 7th month, I only lost 3 lbs. Has anyone had the same kind of stall at the 7th month? I haven't changed a thing! Also, I was hospitalized with kidney stones last Friday. Does anyone know if this has anything to do with the WLS? Becky lap rny/6-22-05 281/198/155

Hi Becky, I feel your pain! I have lost 86 pounds since June 23........and nothing this last month. Oh man, I get so scared that I am done. I wanted so much to be at the 100 pound mark by my birthday on 2-24 but I dont think losing 14 pounds in the 8th month is realistic. I have a long ways to go. I am trying to step up the exercise more.......am hoping that will help. Just hang on.....if we keep following the rules.........we will lose! Good luck, Gayle

I here ya! @ 6 months & a day I lost 101 pounds this month only 5... I am trying not to stress, I know at 6 months the weight slows down. It's just so scary.

Yep, I am so slow now too! Hate it! Yes kidney stones are a side effect of wls. It is not too common,but can happen. Talk to your doc about cutting back on your calcium supplements. Also post on the Michigan board this question, one of the ladies has had alot of stones and knows alot about them, but I can't remember who it was. Wendy

It isn't only calcium that forms stones, can be other minerals but have the calcium checked. It is also related to not getting enough water. They are very painful everyone so DRINK!!! :0 Hugs! Jo

I had my surgery 6-22-2005 and have lost 89 pounds to date. I have been weighing the same for 2 weeks now. I am so glad i saw your post because i thought it was just me. However, i am still loosing inches. To keep myself inspired i still try on things to see how they fit differently every week or so and that helps. I had stopped exercising for about a month and i just started back a few weeks ago still no weight loss. I hear it is just a plato though so i am not worried about it. I was hoping to be at 100lbs lost by 2/7/2005 my birthday but now i am not so sure. But i know it will happen for us all.

I, too, am at a stall, more or less. I lost 10 lbs last month, but that's because I lost 8 lbs. in 10 days. Since that time, only 3 lbs. in 3 weeks. I'm at 105 lbs, but still have about 77 still to go. Can't afford to have a stall. I'm trying to eat more, which is why I think I lost over Christmas. Keep the faith! We will all be okay. Well i have lost well till this month. I was down 123 lbs starting this month. AND have only lost 3 lbs this month. I guess this is the stage were we loose slower. ITs hard cant deny GOOD LUCK JUNEBUGS! I am hopeing for one more lbs before the month ends but i doubt it. LISA

Hi Becky, I had my surgery on June 22, 2005 as well. I had last 85lbs at the 6 month mark and now at the 7 month mark I have only lost another 4lbs totaling 89lbs lost. It is very common from what I read to start to hit a stall around now. I just need to change up the foods I am eating so that way my body isn't in starvation mode, b/c from what I can tell it is common if you continue to eat the same foods starvation mode can happen. Good luck w/ the kidney stones (my friend said yes it does have to do w/ surgery, but i have no medical proof). Good luck w/ everything!!! Ilyssa 268/179/???

I have been stalled also. I lost 80 lbs at my six month visit but it looks like I am starting to loose again. It appears I am down another 3 lbs. this week. I hope this means I am starting to lose again. Good luck!! Laural HW-313, SW-292, PW-208, GW-135
