Gall Bladder out next Friday

Well, the elevated liver enzymes caused my surgeon to have me do another ultrasound and they found gall stones...so I'll be having my gall bladder out next Friday. Hopefully, it will be no big deal and my liver can get back to normal! Cindy 234/161/134

Hi Cindy, Had my GB out last month on December 5th. It was a piece of cake. Hurt a little more than my RNY for a couple days, not horrible just different. I was feeling good soon. I was up walking within 2 hours after I got back from recovery, and home the next morning. Could have gone home the same day, but didn't want to pu**** Good luck, and I'll be thinking of you. Hey Debra, Thanks for the encouragement! I'm actually having mine done at a surgery center so I'll be going home the same day. My mom is coming to take me so she'll be here for a day or two, but I think I'll do fine. Cindy 234/161/134

Good luck and you will be fine. I had mine out when I had my hysterectomy, it wasnt bad at all. I had that surgery first and then my hysterectomy after that. The doctors just switched. I was glad to get them both done at once and not have two surgeries. Most of the time they do it lap now so you should be up and about soon after.. Carla

Hi Carla, Mine will be lap, I'm thankful for that. My surgeon who did my RNY will be doing my GB surgery too. He said that he can use three of my old "spots" with the addition of one more. Cindy

Thanks for letting us know! You were in our thoughts and prayers. Of all the things it could have been the gall bladder is about the best option. You'll do this like a champ! Prayers will continue. At least now it will be easier to get to since you have lost so much weight! Best Wishes Kathy
