What am I doing wrong! I'm 7 months out 1/13/06 and I haven't lost a pound this month, the scales say 160, same as last month. I'm not eating over 2 oz. (3 meals a day) Jerrie 239/160/145

Jerrie, have you talked to your nutritionist? It sounds like you may not be eating enough. I have some really slow loss times now then I will lose for a little while again. Karen

Karen, Thanks for the advise, I've had others to say the same, so I'm trying to up my calorie intake. Jerrie

My doctors havent really said how many calories I should have, but it does sound like you should be eating more by now. Maybe if you boosted them up some of the weight would start coming off again. Do you get in all your protein? That might help also if you increase that. That last month I have lost one week, then none, then lost, then none. I only weigh once a week and dont get too concerned when I dont lose. I am very happy with my weight loss so far. You have done real well too and you will start losing again. I think all of our weight loss slows after a certain point. Dont get discouraged, you are doing great. Carla

Yeah, But it's just scary, not to lose anything in weeks. Jerrie

We have times we lose inches when we are not losing pounds. You should have your calories up some by now. I eat between 800 and 1000 a day with 70 or more protein. I go a week or two without losing a pound but I lose inches and then one day I have lost 3 to 5 pounds. Your body is just adjusting. Best Wishes Deloris 309/288/175/150

Hi Jerri, I'm with you. I started at 240 and am stuck between 164-166 and have been since 12/11. I have upped my calorie intake a bit in the last few days hoping it will help, as I know I was eating too few. I think a lot us are in the same boat right now (at least I hope we are not alone). I did lose 12 inches in the last month though, so I guess this isn't a real plateau. But it's frustrating nonetheless. All the best, Debra 240/164-65/125

I was told at 6 months post-surgery, that you should be able to eat 4-6 oz at a time; 2-3 oz. at the beginning; and 8-10 oz. at 1 year. You need to up your intake--that's for sure! Becky lap rny/6-22-05 281/200/155

Becky, I've tried my very best to take in more than 2 oz. but it comes back up. I can eat 4 oz of very thin sf pudding or soup. Jerrie
