Am I losing enough??

I don't go back to the doctor until the 16th and because of the holiday's I did not make my appointment last month. I am so scared that I am not losing like I should. So far I am a little over 6 months out and have lost 78-80 lbs depending on the scale that day. I do seem to be losing inches and am now wearing size 20's; down from 28-30's. LAURAL i am sure you wont fail and all is fine. We all loose at different rates the key is we are looseing and steadily. I know for me my surgoeons office considers me an above average looser. I wouldnt worry as long as your following the pouch rules all is fine. GOOD LUCK and make your appointment soon to see your surgeon, its very important for your bloods to be checked! ((HUG))) lisa

I'm sure you are, as long as you are exercising, watching protein, drinking water, and watching how you eat. I worry too, since I can, and want to, eat so much more than before. I've stalled since Thanksgiving, but i do see a difference in size too. That really is what matters. Keep up the good work, and keep on working the tool! Kristie

Laural I think we all feel this way! I cancelled my Dec. appointment with my Dr so he wouldn't see I hadn't lost much weight. So when I went this past week, I had lost 10 pounds in 7 weeks. But, I weighed the same thing on my scales Dec4th. So you see, we all are beginning to be afraid that we will be the one to not do well, expecially since food taste better now. Day of surgery 241, this morning 177. You are doing great! I suspect, we are just scared now that we can choose to eat and keep it down. I ordered a month of nurti-system foods during xmas to have choices made for me. I figure I can use these along with my protein when I feel my choices will possibly get me in trouble. Sounds silly doesn't it. That is what my husband says. What is your plan for today and this week? Exercise, water, protein, total calories? Have a good week and .....you have lots of company.

I think many of us had a slow month in December 2005- Be strong........ you can do this and will suceed. We all loose @ varied rates. Look how far you have come!!! Go into your appointment with your head held high. Increase your water and excercise. Your a survivor! Renee'

Laural i found a weight calculator that helps people to guestamate thier expected weight loss on this website. And you are right in there. It has the lbs off per month. I think many of us in this June board seem to have higher numbers than the average. The average for this board according to the guestamator puts us more in the 8 or 9th months. So go by the national average (the calculator) and not our numbers. I think you are doing great! And hey... Those are 80 lbs i am sure you are happy to be without. HA HA
