Anyone losing fast right now?
Hi all...I'm hesitant to post this, but I just need to know if anyone else is losing a lot right now. I know so many people are really struggling with not losing hardly anything in December. I've been like that, too, at different times. But, I went home for Christmas. I ate more than I normally do, but was still extremely cautious about any sugar or breads. I was home for 10 days (I got back this afternoon). In that 10 day period, I lost 8 lbs. Not that I'm complaining, mind you, but even at the beginning I didn't lose that fast. My mom says that I look pale, although, for the most part, I feel fine. I am just now starting to lose a little bit of hair.
I started much heavier than many of you- 332. I'm now at 231 and very excited to see how much more I can still lose. I would love to be in Onderland, and know that someday I'll get there. I just wanted to see if anyone else is dealing with this as well. It just seems odd. Maybe I should just and be happy!!!!
Anyways, Happy New Year to you all!!!!
Kerri
Hi Kerri,
Yes I am dealing with it myself. I hit a block sometimes I don't see the weight that I am losing except for the fact that my cloths don't fit me anymore. I know it is hard and sometimes gets discouraging. I am losing my hair too. I use to have a lot of hair now it has thinned out. I think you are doing awesome. Keep up the great work sweetie. Have a good night.

Kerri,
We were almost exactly the same weight the day of surgery. I weighed 333 and now weigh 227. I'm not losing much at all. I've lost a total of eight pounds in the last two 1/2 months - frustrating. I would die of shock if the scale moved 8 pounds that quickly. Good for you!!! After all the cheating I did the last two months I'm lucky the scale moved at all.
Out of curiosity, have you been exercising the last six months? Do you cheat much? I've been really down because I feel like I'm 20-30 pounds behind where I should be due to the fact that I havent exercised much at all and don'****ch the carbs - I'm obviously having issues with old habits and negative thinking. I lost really fast at first because I just could not eat or drink. Boy have things changed. I've been curious as to how the people that started in the 300's are doing. I've got to find some way to get motivated and back on track.

YEs KERRI i lost 12 pounds in december which has been more then the last few months.
I did eat more thru the holidays but not sweets and junk. I ate more carbs in my meals. I really do believe that eating the right stuff, and more is better to keep our bodies out of STARVATION mode where it holds on to the pounds longer. I also did not go to the gym in december.
EVERYONE should be happy with any losses because we all know this time of year was ALWAYS a gain time!
ALL THE BEST!
be happy kerri you deserve it along with all our
june peers.

Kerri,
I am so happy for you! That is amazing!
I have been losing my hair since I was about 3 months post-op and I am still losing. My doctor said the loss goes on for about six months. You know what though?? I will take the hair loss if it means my overall health is better!
Keep up the great work your doing great!

Kerri,
Congratulation on your weight loss. I continue to lose and at times it is quickly (last month I lost 15 lbs). It comes off in large chunks. Sometimes I wake up and think "Oh, I feel like I have lost weight." When I step on the scale I've dropped 5 to 10 lbs. It happened over Christmas break. I was at 262 one day and 256 the next. I hope it continues. I definitly can eat more now than I did even a month ago. At times I get hungry and feel like I'm over eating. At other times I eat one bite and feel full. I'm being careful to eat healthy and to not eat and drink too closely together. My hair loss has slowed a little bit, however, some days it falls out more than others. The volumizing shampoos have helped to hide the thinning.
Keep up the good work,
Chip
Hi Kerri,
Congrats on your weightloss, sounds like you are doing great!!! I am losing very slowly right now, I lost total of 5 pds in the month of December....but I am ok with that, it will come off when it wants too. I am losing hair too but by the handfulls. Hubby says I should start making a wig with it, luckily my hair was very thick to start with. This site says not to worry, it will start growing back around month 10 and that we wont lose it all.
No Worries...You are doing great, Onderland is just around the corner!!!

Over all I would say my weight loss is slow, but if I look at the large picture, I've lost 95 lbs since surgery. Not too shabby. I think it is great you lost that much weight. I often wonder if I just stay in starvation mode, but I'm afraid to "overeat" again. My hair is falling out like crazy. But it has slacked up recently. Good luck!
The week before my surgery I was 310lbs now I am 205. I have lost 105lbs. I am struggling with thoes damn 5lbs for the past 2weeks. I want to be in the 100s so bad. I know what I have to do to lose thoes 5lbs though. I have been really depressed lately because of family issues and I have eaten things I shouldnt have. There again the point that this surgery is not that you can eat whatever you want and still lose weight. Its a tool. I just have to get back on the right path. But it is very hard. You are lucky to be losing like that at this point. I wish I would lose 8lbs this week. I am very happy with my results thus far. And i cant wait for the next 6months cause Im sure or at least I hope I will be where I want to be. Good Luck to all of you.
