Long Time No Post/ Need to Vent!!!
Happy New Year to all!!!
Well I didn't lose any weight this week, but I also didn't gain! I know what I did wrong and I am back on the wagon and working on getting myself down a few pounds this week. When I first had the surgery I had said to my friend (Happy Loser of NC) that I would be happy at 180lbs, but now of course, I am kicking myself in the ass saying, who are you kidding I want to be 160lbs!!! Well not to make excuses for myself, but I didn't work for the last week and a half and was home a lot and I ate just too much! So now I am back at work concentrating on my water, and watching to stay away from salty carbs (pretzels) which the doctor warned me about when I saw him for my 6 month post op visit. PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN!!! So it's a new year and I am going to watch myself as I had been up until the holidays, no excuses now! Hey again, at least I didn't gain any weight!!! Life is going very well though, I am happy for the first time in a LONG time!

You Look Great!!!!! I am just one pound under you. Keep it up and it will fall off again. I started my body sculpting excersices for New Years. They are hard but I will conquer them just like we have conquered the past 6 months, one day at a time. Really they aren't that hard and in just a few days my butt is lifting about 1/4 inch. That is progress!!!! You will get where you want but you have to be strick with yourself. You are doing and looking awesome. Happy New Year

You sound just like me! I'm restarting and so far have had 4 cups coffee, 60 cal sugar free hazelnut creamer, 4 oz latte protein, 1 Tablespoon reduced fat peanut butter, 3 calcium chews, 3 kids vitamins, Today I'll walk at lunch. I'm getting ready to drink green tea until then. Does this sound okay and similar to what you do or am I still grazing too much?

That sounds ok to me, but much more liquids then I get in, I don't get nearly enough liquids everyday. Atleast your getting them in! Food wise it sounds fine. I just find I need to really plan my days food and know what I have to eat, no last minute ooopps, forgot my lunch. I bring all my food from home and that helps, otherwise I order lunch in w/ the girls and then I nibble on the leftovers all afternoon!

I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling. I've been really beating myself up the last week or so. I'm afraid of going back to "on Monday, I'll start my diet..." I just don't get that full feeling I did before healing, so I want to graze...back to the old bad habits. I'm trying to be really careful, but sweets aren't a problem, either. I'm sure I'm doing better than before, but the scale hasn't moved down in weeks (down three lbs overall since Thanksgiving!) That's up 2 lbs. since Christmas. ARRGGG!
I'm working on eating and fluids, but I've got to come up with a better solution for exercise!

Its been a struggle for all of us, and as long as we stick together and help one another we should be fine! Just keep working on it! I finally went back to www.fitday.com to keep track of my food and its helping already!!!
