Does anyone live near Stratford, CT???

I have to go on travel Jan 9-13th and 17-20th to Stratford, CT.....thought it would be cool to meet any fellow Junebugs while I'm out there!! Pam 250/155/??

That's so cool Sandy!!! I would love to meet you too!! I'm still finding out all the details. Yes, it's a business trip. So far, I'm hearing 12+ hour work days....carpooling in vans..... at that rate, I will not be able to meet anybody ....not even a Starbucks barista!! I hope it's not going to be that harsh. In the past, we at least took a "break" and do something like drive around NYC or go to a Mets game or go gambling...or kareoke.... something to break up the monotony. So far, they are flying us back home on the weekends and then back up at the beginning of each week. I was thinking that if we stayed over the weekend, I could definitely meet some of my wls friends. I'll know more as the week progresses. I'll let you know! Pam

Awwwww....Mary Jo....that stinks that it's so far I want to meet you too! Maybe this summer when we go camping....we'll come closer to where you are....one year, we camped in Allegany State Park in NY...that was pretty cool. We were the stupid tourists hiking to the bear caves and yelling in them....only to find the park ranger (back at our cabin) had just tranquilized a bear and was loading it in the back of his pick-up. (This is what we saw as soon as we got back from the bear caves) I looked at my husband and said "Oh MY GOD!! Real BEARS live in those CAVES!!! We are sooo stupid!!!" I never do the bear cave "thing" again! Pam

I guess if they built that bridge from LONG ISLAND to CT i would be close. ACTUALLY im not that far but im clueless to really how far i guess i should use MAP QUEST...i know we have ferries running across the long island sound to ct... ill have to reasearch it. LISA

Is that Bridgeport right across from there? That's where we land. I know we fly kinda low over long island and it's really neat to look at out the window! I'll wave at ya!! I wonder how far that really is.... I'm thinking it would be pretty far but I really don't know the area all that well. Pam
