Issy, I feel the same way....I've only gone down from a 2X-3X top to a 1X. My pant sizes has dropped down to a 16-18, though. But it is true, the manufacturers are all different. At Target and Dress Barn I am still in the largest sizes. But at other stores, I fit into smaller sizes. Elizabeth 281/191/170

I'll tell ya one you'll LOVE.. I'm 168 and Im wearing a 14!! Most people at that weight are wearing a 10 or 12 not me I'm in a 14!! I honestly think it has ALOT to do with body shape. I've had 5 kids and have ALOT of extra baby sag on my belly that is most likely why I'm still in a 14!! Just my opinion on things!! I just think that everyone is shaped different just like everyone losses differently!!! Hope that helps a lil Talk to ya soon, Lori 264/168/135

I have the same exact frustration. I am almost exaclty at wear you are at size wise. But something i have noticed the larger sizes were more stretchy type fabrics and loser cuts and elastic waists. At least with myself i think i was getting away with wearing things that probably i could have gone up a size in but because they are made so comfortably i could wear them. Because of the elastic waist nature of them i wore them for a very long time and still wear a lot of them and it just makes me look sloppy. BUt i tell myself i am not losing cause they still fit. Just cause i can put them on doens't mean they fit or look good. HA! ANyway the 22/24 usually have a more fitted nature and are not in so much of the strecth fabrics. I think it is just the types of clothes that many of us had to choose at the super sizes. BUt i totally feel yoru frustration and have gone through it. But when i look at what types and styles of clothes are offered in the supersizes it makes sense. they are built more for comfort than style in the supersizes. HAHA Or maybe that is just how i shopped. GOOD LUCK

Issy, You are doing great. I started out at 399 4-8-05, day of surgery I was 355 but, gained 10 lbs in the hospital, yep, so out of surgery I was 365... I am now 273 (gained 2 lbs over the holidays)... I was a 30/32, and thought I wasn't dropping any sizes for the longest. I can now wear anywhere from a 18/20 (just one shirt I tried) to 26/28 (just one shirt also). Most times I wear 22s. I am finding that depending on where the clothes comes from depends on whether they fit. And my bottom is much larger than my top. I can remember the last time I even got into an 18 top I weighed like 185, yet I am 90 lbs heavier now and got into one. I think we are doing fine. You gotta figure 22s are just a couple of sizes from 18 and if I weighed 185 the last time I got into those, I have a long ways to go. I guess they are making sizes bigger these days. And to think, when I was larger, I thought they were making them smaller. Good luck!
