Hi all I just missed having 100 lbs off by my 6 mo check up last Friday(1.6 away). However, I have since lost that 1.6 and can happily call myself part of the century club. Next goal - ONEDERLAND!! Anyway - I was wondering if anyone has purchased any sort of compression garments? I really need one, I have lots of rolls since I'm so short (I say 5', but I'm really 4'11"). I was thinking about the Slender Touch with long legs and sleeves for the back fat, double thighs, and my wings. Sharyn 310/210/148(but now thinking lower)

Sharyn, CONGRATULATIONS ON MAKING THE CENTURY CLUB!!!! That is Grrrrrreat!!!!! I don't know about compression garments, but I'm curious how well they work.....so I'll be watching too. Especially for the arms (mine are reeaallly bad). I did find these underwear at K-mart that I like....they hold my gut in real well. I forget the name of them ... but they are kind of a shiny tan or gold color...shaped like regular underwear...but have this extra panel on the front to hold things in....they also say something about lifting your butt (doesn't work for me, cuz mine is flat now!) but they do hold my roll in. They are usually hanging on hangers in the girdle section.....costs like $4.99 a pair. I love those things...just can't wear anything low-rise with them, cuz you would see the tops of them. CONGRATS AGAIN!!! Pam

Well punkin, CONGRATULATIONS!!! You have done so well. I'm thrilled for you. Life has afforded us so many opportunities. WE ARE BLESSED. Ok, I live in Nashville, Tn. I normally make these purchases at Lane Bryant, Catherines or Rebecca Vaughn($$$$$$$$). A great lasting purchase may run around $50 or 60. They all in one's are higher. They can be cheaper I'm sure. I have found a panty girddle at TJ Maxx for $10(3x) I normally wear a half girddle. It really holds my tummy in. I have graduated to sexy bra's w/ under wire(42DDD) and a size 8 panty. I use to be in a......................... 48DDD Lane Bryant is my friend. Good luck.... you have come so far and the sky is the limit!! Renee'

Congratulations Sharyn!!!! I am so happy for you, you go girl!!! I am not going for the compression garments for the most part but I gotta tell ya, when I went to the Gala Ball in November, I got a bride's style bustier long line strapless bra for my dress at David's Bridal. Wow, honey-I had a beautiful shape in that thing (even though it wasn't real)... Best purchase I've made in a long time Jo

Thanks you guys, you all really pump a person up. It's totally weird to go shopping, i never used to like it. I haven't been in Lane Bryant in forever. I definately need to hit Catherine's tomorrow. I like the idea of the panty, but I have to do something with all of these back rolls. Love y'all lots! Sharyn

Sharyn, I watch Oprah all the time and on one show, she had on some "fashion experts" who highly recommended the undergarments you are talking about. I haven't purchased one since they are so expensive and I'm still losing weight (don't want to get stuck with a high-priced garment that I can't wear in a couple of months!). But I do plan to buy one near my one-year anniversary. Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth i know what you mean about the price. I called one of the Slender Touch reps and she told me you can take them to a tailor and have them refitted. I don't know what that would cost. But, I'm getting to where i need to do more than walk since I don't have time to walk several miles a day. I need to increase my intensity. So, I'm going to try catherines today, but then I may end of ordering the slender Touch later - when I ge some money. I've already decided that i will refinance my mtg to pay for plastics. My belly hung below my pubis pre-surgery, so now it's at my knees practically. And there's nothing left in my breasts. I'll let you know how my search goes. Sharyn

Sharyn, I havent bought any compression garments but did buy a couple all in one "slimmers" at Walmart. The kind with the built in bra and snap crotch. I still wear my bra with it (just feels better, LOL) and they can really make a difference with the back rolls and what I like to call my dunlap (dunlapped over my pants) We are all doing a great job!!!!!!!
