Hey ya'll , I'm new to this board!
HEY Rebecca, you look great! Your right this is a nice place to hang out, and lurk! All the drama on the mississippi board, really upsets me! Im sceard to post sometimes, you never know what will get you flamed! I'm not perfect with my food choices the way , some are, i need help makeing better choices. I thought i would give these Juneans a try, and they have all been so nice and supportiave! Think i might start posting over here more, stay out of harms way!hehe

I know what you mean about the MS board. I hardly ever post there anymore because of the negative stuff going on there. I haven't been making all good choices lately, either. But I'm determined to do better. My husband was in the mood to bake Christmas goodies and he went waaayyy overboard. I can't wait until that stuff is outta here! Unfortunately, I can eat some sweets (though not nearly as much as I could before surgery) and it's just a really big temptation right now. Anybody want me to package up some and send your way, just say the word and I'll do it!!! GRRRRR!!

Welcome Dawn. This board is the warmest, most supportive one I've been on and I'm guilty of being a lurker, mostly. But anytime I've posted I've ALWAYS gotten the MOST POSITIVE and WARMEST responses here!! Thanks guys. I really do not spend that much time online, but thanks to all of you who do post. I try to read EVERYTHING several times a week.

I've had a VERY LONG plateau myself. I've only averaged about 4 pounds a month the last two months. YIKES!!! Talk about a slow down.
I am going to be honest and say that I have been eating chips and lots of deserts pretty much since November. Feeling sick after eating the junk doesn't seem to stop me. It didn't before the surgery either. I am also not getting nearly enough protien and occassionally skip my vitamins. Basically, I've been stupid. On a positive note, I finally joined Lifetime Fitness. I'm hoping that will get me back on track.

Hey Dawn, we sound very much a like!! lol Name and all!! Im terriable at staying on a diet!!!! I dont eat gobbs of crap like before , but i do still have my chips and salsa and since i dont dump i eat a little chocolate!GRRRRRRRR I got to quite! I also skip my vits on a regular basis. I took them today though, hopefully i will continue! Thanks for the support, i KNOW we can all get back on track and do this!

I have hit two real stalls. I think the longest was three weeks long. Oddly, I noticed (just by freak happenstance) that my weight loss started back up both times when I got on a chili kick.
I'm not saying that's the answer...but it just dawned on me today that both times I got into my chili kick (ie...gotta have some chili nearly every day...cuz it's the only thing that sounds good) ...my weight loss picked back up again.
I get in the habit of eating the same things over and over.....I wonder if my body is rebelling when i get stuck on one phase too long???
Anyway, I know it is perfectly normal for our bodies to hit a period where it just needs to stabilize again...then the weight loss picks back up again. Maybe switch up your food choices for a couple of weeks? As long as you follow the rules...you'll get out of that "stabilizing" phase and back into the losing phase again. It's so frustrating.... I freak out too....I'm a scale junkie.
