Hey ya'll , I'm new to this board!
I have been a lurker on here for a while, thought it was time i said "HELLO"! I had my surgery on june 7th, I was 271 pre-op and im down to 188. I have been at a stand still for about a month now! Im very frustrated with myself! Just wondering if any of ya'll have hit a LONG plateau and how you got the wt loss started again?
Thanks in advance,
DAWN
Welcome,
YOu have done great. I too am at a standstill. I just went into my fitday to see how long it has been since I have lost. It has been since dec 16 since I have lost so I am getting a little nervous. I wasnt horrible over the holidays but I wasnt great either. So I am just getting back on the excersise track and making sure that I am getting in enough protein and water. Hopefully that will jumpstart me. I am not sure if this was a normal plateau or if it is a product of my wanderings into the land of carbs this week. Hopefully we will both start losing again soon.
Good luck
LYnn
HI DAWN!
GLAD you came out from lurking and posted!
WELCOME TO THE JUNE room and the folks
here are great.
I am not stalled but i was very sick this month
with a nasty stomach virus which i think is why
my weight loss was great this month.
IM sure many are in the same situation as you.
GOOD LUCK! and my trick for slow downs has been
adding strawberries and nuts to my diet!

310/188/???
Hey love, welcome..............
We are just one big family and hold true to love, encouragement and
great advice.
I have been at a stall too- but be assured that you will begin to loose again. Continue to excercise and drink plenty of water. This surgery was designed to aide us- WL issues are a thing of the past!!
I wish you the best-

Wecome to the Junebug board Dawn!!
I don't think that I have hit a true plateau by the definition of 'no loss of inches or weight for a long time', but I lose really slowly and this, so far, has been my worst month. However, I was down a lb. this a.m. and have now lost a total of 88 lbs. so I can't complain. I seem to do the best when my protein is consistently well over 60 grams and water is over 70 oz. but that isn't fool proof since our bodies seem to need to adjust and settle in now and then. I know you will make your dreams come true, it is already happening!! Jo
Hey Dawn! I'm a fellow lurker here, but I will say that this is my favorite board. The people here are always so nice and it's great to compare progress with fellow Juneans. I, too, had a pretty slow December. I walk a lot and I know that has to help (any exercise). I was 308 preop and am now at 206. I'll be watching for the responses to your post.
