Hi Everybody! Just a quick update. Today I'm 6 months out from my RNY. I'm down from 234 to 168.6! 65.4 pounds! I'm wearing 12's very comfortably (starting to get loose) and just bought my first 10's the last few days...who could have believed it would really happen???!!! As soon as I get fully into 10's the 14's in my closet will have to go! I refuse to have fat clothes in my closet any longer...besides I need the room for all the new stuff that I'm buying!!! I'm going to have to ban myself from shopping for awhile! I visited my nutritionist this morning and she was very happy with my decision to train to run a 5k in the spring. I can now run 1/2 the time for 30 minutes, covering over 2 miles. When I started this journey I could only walk one mile in 30 minutes. I'm still eating well, getting my water in and doing the best that I can. I don't eat sugar at all, don't drink carbonated beverates and don't chew gum...besides that, I eat normal foods in small quanities. What a joy! I appreciate the friendships that I've started here and look forward to 2006 with great anticipation. I can't imagine what it will feel like when I get to goal, but I know it's gonna be great!!! Hi Lisa, Thanks for the encouragement! Running for me isn't exciting...but the fact that I can run is another story! I don't like it while I'm doing it, but the feeling of accomplishment that I get afterwards is awesome! I also enjoy documenting my progress and seeing how much more I can do as the weight comes off! Merry Christmas! Cindy

Hey Wendy, That is what keeps me going...keeping my eyes on the prize! It would be so easy to do what I've done in the past and just quit when things are hard or get really tough...but this time...with this tool, I'm determined to take it all the way! Merry Christmas! Cindy

Cindy, Congratulations on your accomplishment! While you're trying to get rid of your 14's, I can't wait to get into 14's!! Tell me more about your training for the 5k. I've had a friend say that they would walk a half marathon with me that is supposed to happen in the fall at Disneyland. Let me know about yours! Merry Christmas! Kerri

Cindy, Congratulations! Hooray for you! Size 10s I am jealous. I am still a 16/18, but that is down from a tight 28 so I am happy. I think your goal of a 5k is awesome. I cant believe how much faster I am now that I have lost weight. Have a Merry Christmas Lynn
