Back From Surgeon's Office 6 month visit

Well, with the snow mess in the Chicagoland area, I still went to my surgeon for my 6 month check-up. My total weight loss since June 8th is 117.4 pounds! I'm doing the happy dance, and jumping up and down with joy, joy, joy! I'm going to make my goal in 2006! I'm so glad I decided to have this surgery; I had the lap gastric bypass. Hope to hear from some of my fellow June bugs to see how they are doing. This indeed will be the happiest of holidays for me! Way to go Girl! That's amazing! I too am sooooo happy I made the decision to do this for myself. I no longer have to spend every night falling asleep promising to be better tomorrow or spend all afternoon deciding what I want for dinner. Food has really been put on the back burner in my life now. Sure, I try to eat mostly protien and healthy food but I don't miss the "other" stuff either. I am now concentrating on learning how to really enjoy life again. Julie 265/250/180/135?

Thanks everyone for your responses! We are all doing well. I can't wait for our first year anniversary. I will eventually get a pre-op and recent picture of me. I promise! As of today, I am at 264.4, with a total loss of 220.4 pounds in total, of which 119 are after June 8th! Happy day to all, Lucy

Lucy, Congratulation, YOu have done great!!!! Keep up the good work. I am looking forward to my six month check-up. It is next week. I too am really grateful that I had this surgery it has changed my life. Keep going and doing so wonderful and Happy Holidays. Lynn
