Congratulations on the loss but hoping all the blood work is OK. Maybe not enough protein? I really don't know just guessing. I have had no problems so why you can't keep down the food is a mystery to me. I pray for your healing. Good Luck and keep us informed. Deloris 309/288/204/135

Congrats Robert, I'm sure the weight loss has to do with your start weight and not keeping food down. Have you tried all the tricks? Eating very slowly, chew, chew, chew, cutting food very tiny........just make sure to get in your protien with supplements, I just found Designer Whey at Walmart, you can mix it with a spoon, it kinda disolves, looks real gooey for a minute or two, but then disolves just fine. I wouldn't worry about losing too fast as long as you are getting in the protein. Congrats and good luck. HW 250 SW 235 CW 188 GW 150

Hi Robert, We're birthday buddies! You're weight loss is amazing. I've lost 68 in the same amount of time. I'm hoping that you're okay. What did the doc say about not being able to keep things down? I'm sure he's checked you for a stricture already... but, that's not normal to not be able to eat by this time. Almost 40 lbs. /month... unreal!!! Hope the blood work comes back normal. Keep us informed. I'll be thinking about ya. Take care, Kerri

CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss thats FABULOUS. I will add im concerned for you when you say you cant hold anything down. HOPE all your blood work comes back fine but you need answers I dont think with that much weight off you should be feeling tired and no energy but if your not holding food down thats probably why. IRON and POTTASSIUM deficiencies can cause that. DO keep us posted on your health please! ALL the best LISA 310/208/???

Well hon, you had your surgery on June 23rd and I had mine on the 14th and I've lost 80 lbs total pre and post op. I was told when you weigh 300 and way beyond that, you will drop your weight very dramatically opposed to someone who weighs under 300lbs. When I had my surgery I weighed in at 285, therefore my weight loss is not as dramatic, but I do not get discouraged because I do prefer a slower weight loss to give my body and skin time to catch up since I am not exercising as much as I should. Also, I refuse to weigh myself constantly. I can tell when I am dropping weight because a few days before I will feel like I've gained 10 lbs and then a few days later, bam, I have dropped 2-5lbs. So, for me I am satisfied with my weight loss. You losing 156 lbs since June is awesome and incredible!!! And yes maybe a little too fast, but it's ok, but make sure you get at least 60 grams of protein and all your liquids in a day. You are doing great!! Hugs!

I have heard that if you weigh quite a lot the weight loss is more dramatic at first too! I am losing like you are a bit at a time and then my body seems to have to do a bit of reshuffling and I Stick on a weight for a while and then for no reason drop quite a bit over night. Go figure how it happens?????? But not holding down foods sounds like a medical problem such as a hernia, or a stricture. I would say go to the hospital asap for some tests, better to be safe than sorry!!!!!
