Hello All, I have to ask something, I did read the post about feeling blue from Lisa and it had me thinking about something else I noticed since surgery. I have always be a person that worried about things like going places and going to the dr's but now since my surgery I notice that my pouch gets nervous when I have something I have to go and do. Almost like anxiety but I don't know what from. Does anyone else feel that their pouch is more nervous now since the surgery? maybe I am just going crazy. Well thanks all.. ~Hugs~ Debra P

WHEN you pouch gets so do u end up with the runs from the nerves? I can say that happens everytime i saw my surgeon and normally i dont get the runs. I just thought maybe i hadnt gotten the water in but mabye nerves triggered it. INTERESTING to watch now....also I did see my regular PCP the other day and oddly my blood pressure was high...and it wasnt 4 days prior at the er...so i wonder if my pouch gets nervous. LETS see what others are experiencing...funny how threads makes us think of our situations...thats how i found maybe the left over beef dont sit well with me....I try to pin point all the triggers of angry grouchy pouchy syndrome! I know when i went out to dinner for my daughter bday a smell after i ate of someone elses food passing by me via the waitress made me ...go figure THANK GOD FOR ALL YOU GUYS and this board to share these things with LISA

Lisa, Yes I get the runs if it keeps up, which I used to when I was under a lot of stress but this is happening when it is very mild, maybe it is all the changes going on and my body needs time to adjust. We are changing every day and I guess if I think about it, it is overwhelming... You know you just brough up another thing that I have been thinking about lately... I know that smells make me feel sick more often now, kind of wierd because I was never the easy kind of person. But now some smells make me sick to my pouch but not , once it goes away I am ok.... Hun you really started all this talking today and it is great.... I think we needed this! Thanks... ~hugs~ Debra P

DO u think the days ur pouch gets soo are u not getting enough water, i used to think that during the summer thinking i was so worried about seeing the surgeon maybe not getting in the water then bam....i get a bought with the runs. OTHER times it wasnt that ...i notice when i get a small bout with it i do drop a better weight! (not sure if thats a good or not). THE smell thing gets to me often but that was the first time i had to , but only the frothy stuff came up.....MY stomach pre op was an iron rock, aside from an ocasional stomach flu i never :barfed: or had problems with the runs..... INTERESTING how we are all going thru the same changes....and there is like you said so much going on with our bodies. YES im glad to for the talking at times i guess i feel im alone with this new tool. MY husband seems to not care of my situation, doesnt really understand the rules and doesnt even know when i have bouts with the runs, throwing up or even the depression im in. HE hasnt a clue. SO for me this board is all i have to turn to when things come up and im not sure. EVERYDAY i try to figure out what sets off my pouch. HOW one meal i eat so well others i cant get but two bites in me (but rare has happened). HOW i eat something fine one day the next it wasnt as good sitting in my pouch weird. I started eating some grapes for a snack last week, and this week grapes gave me the frothy icky feeling. BUT for the most part i dont regret the surgery i just try to figure it out. I read this board all day to keep my head in the right place. I know i only have that "WINDOW of opportunity to loose alot" and dont want to miss that window by eating wrong. SOMEDAYS i do awesome others i think i have a few too many pretzels but the scalre rewards me and i get by. ANOTHER while im babblin i sometimes get this weird ache in my pouch and usually to cure it i eat....not sure if thats the right way to handle it. IT almost all went away when i went off the gall bladder meds but came back slightly this week. I wonder if im also getting a slight ulcer in the new pouch. I sure have enough stress to cause one in my life lately. WOULD you believe i got to get roofers in that 9 days of rain i had drips in my living room....eeks and on top of that my daycare got a SMALL flood. I know people went thru far worse with KATRINIA and RITA but even this small stuff his hard. I dont have money right now for a roof but i got to do. HATE useing credit cards dont want bills! ANYWAY im babbling thanks for the writings nice to know im not alone in alot of what i go thru. I think were all worried something is wrong at times with our new tool! Well thanks deb ((HUG))! YOUR awesome! LETS prey we loose a POUND tonight! LISA

Lisa, Hun I understand about stress in the home life, this year for me was so crazy with major ups and downs. Lets see what I had going this year: House Fire (lost everything including 2 cats and doggie) Our INS Inverview (he bacame a legal resident, he is from Canada) 3 moves surgery Change in duties at work Taking landlord to court (done now, thank goodness) Money Issues All major stuff, never mind the little stuff like flooding in the house with the rain storm as well, finding surgeon closer to me then LI, Getting my blood work done next weekend and other things... thank God all is ok with hubby and I but as you said sometimes it is hard for him or any others to understand what we go through when they have not experience it themselves. though my hubby wants to learn and understand but I hate to put that all on him. I feel like I need to get away from all this for 2 weeks but I used up all my time with the surgery and can not afford to take it off without pay so I just have to find a way to deal with this....talking helps...THANKS ~hugs~ Your the best.. I can identify with your anxiety over things you have to go and do. I have the same problem, I always have. And I have noticed that I feel it more in my pouch than I ever felt it in my stomach before. I don't get really sick from it, but I do notice my pouch seems to get nervous. I don't understand why. Weird, huh? Tiffany

Tiffany, Yes it is weird and sometimes this new pouch is so hard to understand. I try to exercise to keep stress down and I guess it works to some extent but when it gets upset (nerves) it sure lets me know. Well hun thanks for posting and sharing this. ~Hugs~ Debra P
