Hi all hope everyone is doing well. I had my WLS on 6/6 and have lost 71 lbs so far. My problem is that I am stuck at 205 for over 2 weeks now. I am exercising and eating what I am suppose to and I even uped my water but nothing. I feel like I am a failure. People tell me that I look good but I know I still have at least 60 more lbs to go and at this rate I cant see it happening.I just dont know what to do. Thanks for letting me vent. Andrea

As much as I hate to say this Andrea, we just have to be patient My weight is moving very slowly 42 since surgery and 15 pre-op, that's 57 pounds, but ALMOST 60 sounds even better So we can for what we have accomplished or be and miss out on the enjoyment of what is going on. I'm not usually this Mary Poppins, I don't know what's come over me today. HW - 250 SW - 235 CW - 193

Hi Andrea! I know EXACTLY how you feel... I just "finished" a 3 week "stall" where I did not loose any weight! I was so upset/depressed/frustrated! UGH!!! I finally started loosing again, slowly. I was looking a number of people's profiles over the weekend and found a few people that had a very low 4 month weight loss... It must be around this time/weight loss that our bodies say.. "stop, wait a minute, I need to adjust"... Hang in there, Andrea.... it will start again! I would suggest upping your water to 100 oz and your protein to 100 oz and see what happens... that is what gave me the jump kick to start loosing again! Good luck, please keep us posted! Your wls friend Sandy

Andrea, Hun I know how you are feeling, I have been stuck around 217-215 for a 3 week run but finaly it broke and I started moving down, slowly but down. I know about the feeling that you feel like you are failing but do not think that way, we did not get heavy overnight and it will take a while for our bodies to let go of all this weight. It really wants to hold onto it but as long as we keep doing what we are doing it should be fine. What worked for me was taking in more water and uping my protein for a day or two, it seemed to work so you might just want to give it a shot. Remember we are all different and we all have to find what works good for us at these times. I wish you the best hun ~Hugs~ Debra P 285/211/125??

60lbs isnt too much considering what you have lost already and in what time frame. I think you are doing great. Patience is your friend now. Just try to be patient and it will start coming off again real soon. You surely are not a failure. Before the surgery it would have taken you forever to lose 71 lbs. Thats awesome..Maybe you shouldnt weigh yourself as often. I only weigh once a week on Tuesdays. Good luck and remember you are doing great.. Carla

I feel your pain My surgery was on 6/9- I am down about 78-80 lbs but since August things have slowed tremendously and I am hovering at the 200/199/201 mark- so frustrating- I am exercising/drinkiing water/protein etc etc but nothing seems to be speeding things along- I do believe that maybe our bodies are saying- hold on to what you can? Good luck- and I hope next mos we will be losers again?
