HELP, I can't eat.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I had my surgery in June, 2005 my first fill was August 8, 2005, it has been eight weeks and I still PB all the time, when I do eat or try to eat something of nutritional value, I get this hurt feeling in my chest, like heartburn or worse, and I end up puking to get rid of it. WHAT is wrong with me? I know I got a pretty tight fill I got 1.75 total in me right now, and it was very tight, but I thought it would of loosened up on its own I lost 17 lbs the first four weeks after the fill and none in the last 3 weeks, but I know I am still too tight to go get another fill, I look at food and I see pain not enjoyment, can anyone help me. HEY tracie.... maybe you can find the banding forum for more people with the band to help you out here. I know from my doctors support meetings the banded people dont seem to mention such a difficulty. PERHAPs you should phone your surgeon. I also think if your not getting food down perhaps your body is in starvation mode and holding on to every pound. GOOD LUCK!!!

I'm with Lisa. RUN to the phone and call your doctor. I know a couple of people with bands (I had an open RNY) that have a lot of trouble with very specific foods like rice and lettuce, but you have to get food down. It doesn't sound like an over eating problem...so go now! Good luck, and keep us posted. Kristie
