1. Yes. One, anyway.
2. I'm like Jo, I LOVE the Shrimp Skewers at Applebee's!! I also love that I can go in and get just one shrimp skewer with the steamed veggies and have a marvelously healthy meal for under 5 bucks!! (at least at the local applebee's they let us split it out like that!)
3. There's a fabulous gentleman in my life. His name is Randy and he is my very best friend in the world. He was the first one I told when I started thinking about having the surgery and he has been 1000% behind me every step of the way!! Is it any wonder that when it came time to schedule my surgery I made sure we could schedule it for the very tiny window of 3 days when he was just getting back from a business trip to New York but before he left for a 10 day trip to Israel? Since the surgery, he has been my biggest cheerleader and has even been helping to support me financially so that I can concentrate on my health, working out, etc. He is a saint in my books!!
4. Yesterday morning I was halfway to the gym when I realized that I had not had to hike my feet up on the side of the bed to tie my shoes -- I had just leaned over and tied them like I had longed to do for YEARS!!!
5. When it comes time for my next class reunion, I want to be the one who walks in to the room and not one knows who I am!! Have to wait 5 years for the next one -- but just THINK where I'll be by then!!!

Great questions Jo! Here are my answers
1. I have one friend who has had the surgery, become friendly with many of all the great folks online, but still have not met anyone else face to face that has had WLS. I cannot attend support meetings yet because of my schedule (work full-time, and school full-time, plus workouts-whew!)
2. Favorite lowfat meal is one I made up- ground turkey, low-fat ricotta, low-fat mooz, garlic, etc, wrapped in spinach or super thin eggplant and baked with a little tomato sauce. YUMMY!
3. My biggest supporter is my fiance. He is an incredible man. He always tells me how good I look and has not once complained about the change in eating habits (he eats what I eat, only in bigger portions), or the constant clothes shopping!! God bless him!
4. My favorite acheivement since WLS is being able to go shopping with my sister and buy something other than earrings in the same store as her!! Yeah! I also like Jo's comment about crossing your legs, now that I can do it, I do it all the time
5. I still want to acheive a fit body, not just a thinner one. Main goal- look sexy as hell in my wedding dress this coming May. I had to postpone my wedding this past August because of the surgery- and now I want to show my man what he really waited for!!
Thanks guys- that was fun!!
Happy loosing everyone- enjoy your weekend!

1. Has anyone made friends with the people in their support groups?
My doctor's support group meeting has been informational, but disappointing to me because I'm not really connecting. So I started my own group, and hope to make friends that way. A good friend of mine who had the surgery in 2003 and I are in our own mini-support group. I went to the OH Chicago conference last weekend and hope a few people I met there will become my friend!
2. What is your favorite low fat meal since surgery?
My breakfast- a cappuccino with a half cup of dry Cracklin Oat Bran.
3. Who has been your biggest support since surgery?
Hands down, my husband. He is so proud of me its a little embarrassing! I know the pitfalls of marriages to WLS and I think we are gonna make it together and survive it!
4. What is your favorite achievement since surgery besides your weight loss?
Two - going to Chicago all by myself on the train last weekend and cabbing it to the conference, it felt so TAWANDA! Also, when we went to St. Louis a few weeks ago for a wedding I was all over the city walking and seeing the sites. I was the one pushing my husband to hurry and walk a few blocks more - what a switch!
5. What do you want to achieve most that you haven't yet (besides your weight loss)?
I want to buy a Vespa Granturismo motor scooter when I hit my goal of 150 lbs off. So I will need to take a motorcycle safety course!
Yours in pounds down,
Jen
