It's so cool that we share the same date. I've had a few obstacles to overcome with the band. I needed a fill after about 8 weeks. Called my Dr. office and the nurses told me doc wouldn't do a fill before three months. I had to call a few times before he knew I really needed a fill. My first fill was scheduled for August 29th. But it wasn't as easy as I thought. My port had turned and he couldn't access it. Then I spend the next week or so trying to find out how much it is going to cost to get it fixed. My company has an exclusion to wls, so no help from insurance here. Anyway I got my port repostioned Sept 15. It hurt worse than the lap-band surgery (I'm a wuss). The good thing is that he gave me my first fill after surgery. I have 2cc in my 4cc band and I am loving it.
My weight loss has been slow in my opinion. I have lost about 22 pounds. Which really I guess is the low end of the lap-band average. If I didn't have the band I would have gained weight. So I am thankful that I have it. Now that I have good restriction I think it will be much easier. Now if I could just get motivated to exercise! You have done great! You are an inspiration to me.
