Well for the very first time since i have had my surgery i have gained weight this week. I am going to reweigh tomorrow and see if by chance it was some sort of fluke. It is only a couple of lbs but after so much sacrifice to gain some so early just devistated me. I wish i could say i have worked out all week and i think it is muscle weight. WRONG!! BUSY BUSY BUSY ANS LOTS OF STRESS. I have eaten a few more carbs this week than i usually do. Maybe that was enough to sabotouge me. ANYWAY such is life i suppose.

hi Paula, Dont't fret about the weight gain...I believe it takes 3500 calories to gain one pound of fat, and even with the extra carbs, I doubt you've had that many. It's probably weight gain, especially if the carbs were salty, like crackers..salt can make you retain water. I myself have about one week each month when I sem to gain as much as 5 pounds...but after that week it's of again and the weigh starts dropping. for me this is always the week after my period. Good Luck, Dorota

Hey, don't get discouraged. We go up and down with water weight and stress and building muscle and it could be a number of things. It will go back down. I really don't think you have sabotouged yourself. I only weigh at the doctor's office that way I don't get all flustered, and my scales are always off from his anyway. Good luck and Keep a positive attitude and you will succeed. Deloris 309/288/225/135
