THREE MONTHS ANNIVERSARY TODAY AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!

Well today is my 3 month anniversary and so far I've enjoyed success beyond my wildest dreams. It's not only about the numbers but the numbers are terrific. I weighed 275 on my chiropractor's medical scale meaning I've lost 84 pounds in 3 months since my June 10th surgery and 89 pounds overall since my May 19th consultation. I've re-discovered the love I used to have for exercise and challenging myself. All this without a fill and any adverse side-effects other than port pain every once in a while. What's really significant is that I've reclaimed my life, my self-esteem, my health and my hope. The positive support of my family, co-workers and strangers that I meet from time to time has been overwhelming. The love and unconditional support of people that post on the lap band board has been emotional at times and always uplifting! I had a strong fear of failing before I started this process. I had my three month post-op and my surgeon referred to me as a "poster boy" for this surgery. I can't remember ever feeling such pride and joy! It's funny now getting asked the question: "Aren't you losing the weight too fast?" I am grateful that I've lost 10 inches in my waist, no longer snore, no longer take acid reflux pills, can tie my own shoes, can walk without feeling like I'm about to faint and can enjoy my children and a better quality of life! I'm grateful to feel comfortable for the first time ever to be in pictures with the family. Alot can happen in three months. I can hardly wait to experience the next three months.
