How Much Have We All Lost????
Hi my fellow June buddies!
Congratulations to all of us and our successes!
I've lost 75 pounds in three months. It's been a roller coaster ride for me. I already had one plateau when I wasn't losing any weight for about 2 1/2 weeks. Then I started to drop the pounds again. As of last Saturday, I weighed 309.4 pounds, so I'm going to get out of the 300's very soon. I can't wait. I had some blood work done and my protein level is within the acceptable levels. My cholesterol levels are great! I feel good and am wearing clothes I haven't worn in a long time.
Christmas is just around the corner. I can't wait to see where we will all be then...
Again, congrats to all!
Lucy
My surgery was 06/23, As of today 09/13/05 I have lost a total of 35lbs. I started on the low side of the bmi and I think someone calculated it out to be 25% body fat loss so far. It helps reading these and seeing others that are losing slowly too. I don't feel so alone....but for all of ya'll that have lost more than me (which is almost everyone hehehe and others that are losing at the same rate......CONGRATULATIONS on your weight loss and may many more lbs to shed follow. Colleen
Well,
I guess I am a "turtle". I have been a bit depressed about it, but at least the scale is moving downward. I was 238 at my pre-op appt., 234 on my home scale the morning of surgery. I am 196 on my home scale now. so I guess that's 38 lbs. from day of surgery. I am thrilled that I am in Onederland now, but was expecting a bit more of a dramatic loss in these first 3 months. I drink 60 grams of protein a day, plus eat about 20-30 more grams. Almost NO carbs, haven't even tried fruit yet. Just a bit of greens or steamed veggies with my meat or cheese. I'm getting 800-900 cal. a day, taking all my supplements and drinking lots of water. My body is hanging on to every pound for dear life. I know I need more exercize, but with 2 jobs, 2 special needs kids, a house and husband, I just cant get any more in. I walk every morning 1.6 miles in 25 minutes, and twice a week go to a friends house and use her home gym. No time for anything else right now. As long as I keep the same pace, I am happy to lose 8-10 a month.
Well I had surgery on June 22, 2005, I weighed 285lbs and now I'm at 261.5 (as of Sept. 13) that 24lbs. loss. I'm very upset with the loss, but Kaiser Permanente thinks it's great, I'm losing within their timeframe. I have gone down on my waist from 49-in. to 43-in & my hips from 64-in to 56-in. I expected more, I go to the gym 4 days a week and on Saturdays I walk for 1 hour. Drinking protein shakes has been difficult, they just make me gag, but they do go down. Eating 3 meals and 1-2 shakes a day.
