Hi Maria, I am 5'8 also and I am down 51lbs..my surgery date was 6/22. I asked my dr. about the fatigue and he said it was dehydration...our bodies are 70% water and if we don't drink atleast 64oz we will become tired. Plus, try to get in all the protein you can...this will help you to lose fat and not muscle mass. He also said drinking the protein will help speed up your metabolism since your muscles are feed they will help you burn. I am taking 3 chewable iron tablets, 2 multi vitamins, 1 B-50 complex, 1 B-12 sublingual 3 days a week plus 2 tbs of Cal Mag (calcium). Yes...I know it seems like alot of stuff...but post bypass really screws up your malabsorption process and you want to stay healthy. You are doing great ! Keep up the good work. Crystal

I am 5'7" and had surgery on 6-13-95 My beggining weight was 344 and i am now 279 a weight loss of 65 lbs. I too am often SOOO tired i have changed to a liquid vitamin that is suppose to have better apsorption and i think that is helping a bit. I was not on a sublingual b 12 and i have started that and notice a bit more energy. Good luck i know some days it is not fun. But it is always worth it.
