I am so happy for you. I too feel so much better in clothes, when I go out, in the heat and shopping malls, when I am with friends... It is such a joy. I bought 3 new tops, the 1x was too big, went with the x... I was thrilled that I could try on clothes and not hate what I saw in the mirror. Also, I bought 2 pairs of 16-18 knit slacks-whoppee!!!
Your going out with your daughter to her cheer event reminded me so much of my wonderful memories with my daughter (she's 22 now). Although I often felt like the biggest, most awkward person there, I loved watching my girl so much. She did gymnastics, figure skating, cheerleading and dance and I was at virtually every event. She actually became a Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader 3 years ago. She didn't try out this year because she is teaching dance and getting some modeling and dance gigs too. My son is just as great, I'll tell about him some other time but wanted you to know how wonderful all those years were, how much I loved it and how nostalgic I got when you wrote about it. Can't wait to hear how it went! Jo
THANKS for all the kind replies to my post. THE day had perfect weather....sun, dry and a little off and on breeeze. (better then hot and humid weather which long island gets in the summer).
My daughters routine went off perfectly. HERE are some photos from the day if you would like to see:
