I am shooting for 81 grams protein every day and by Weigh****chers point system I accummulate 12-16 points. That translates into 600-800 calories. With this I am taking off 2-3 pounds a week as long as I get 72-120 oz water in as well. I don't get as much exercize in as I should though. Best wishes Rich

I got in 500 today with 74g protein. Everyday is different. But this is my average. Deloris 288/235/135

Hi Deloris, Everyday is different for me also. It seems so strange to have to make myself eat when I'm not hungry, knowing I ate when I wasn't hungry before surgery and ended up here. Thanks for the reply and let's keep loosing. Debbie

I get in between 550 and 750 calories per day including my shakes. I get in over 60 grams of protein every day, over 64 oz of liquid and walk 1/2 hour every day. I am slow with the weight loss (total of 47 lbs, 32 since surgery) but I'm o.k. with that. Everybody is different, the starting BMI seems to make a big difference. I am lucky, I have never vomited and can eat anything. I avoid sugar and heavy fats though... Jo

Hey Jo Ellen, It sounds like you're doing great! Nothing wrong with slow weight loss in my opinion, I'll take it any way I can get it. I feel much better after the replies knowing I seem to be in the range on calories and protein. I think it's great that I can come here and seek knowledge from my fellow surgery buddies from June. Well i get in between 600-1000 calories. Depends on the day. Strangley enough the longer i have been out form surgery the less i eat. I used to eat a lot more calories now i probably average about 600. I think my calories in the early stages were so high because i was still trying to get adjusted to the new way of eating. I think i would over eat a bit or snakc too much throughout the day. Now i have generally one meal and just do protein drinks or diet drinks. Just because i am not hungry.
