I am 7 weeks out tomorrow and have lost 44.5 lbs. My weight loss has slowed down a bit in the last two weeks.

I had my surgery on June 20th. Unofficially I have lost 70 lbs. I only count the scales at the surgeon's office as my official weight but my gym scales say I have lost a little over 70lbs. Chip

I had my surgery on June 20th and as of 8/10 I was down 37lbs. I only weigh myself at the doctor's office, I don't want to get obsessed with weighing myself so I don't do it at home. I've seen too many people on the boards freak out over a slow lose or the gain of a pound or 2. The weight will come off eventually, checking it everyday isn't going to speed it up so I don't check. Hi Stacy, I had my surgery on June 28th, and I was beginning to feel really bad because I haven't lost anything in like a week. But according to all the post here, I'm right on track w/everyone else, so I don't feel so bad, I just keep wondering if I'm ever going to start losing again. I've lost 42 pounds so far. Went from a very tight 18 to a stretchy 14, yay!

Actually, I had my surgery in Brunswick, GA and 2 days later my husband moved here to the Green Bay area. I stayed behind in south carolina w/ my mom for a month before I came up here. I have been here for almost a month now. You know.......I don't know what I am doing wrong. Everyone else here has lost much more than me. I feel like i am on track. A list of foods I eat are: cheese, chicken, fish (all kinds), tuna (i prefer the hickory smoked flavor), real crab meat (not the imitation, the real crab meat can be found in the frozen food section by the fish or in the tuna section in a can), shrimp, scallops, eggs (rarely, they make me gag), home made chili (has 2 lbs ground turkey meat, 2 lg cans of crushed tomatoes, 1 can regular size can tomatoe sauce, 1 large can kidney beans, 2 large chopped green peppers, 2 medium chopped onions, 2 packets of chili seasoning, chili powder, natures seasoning, mrs dash all cooked in a crock pot for 8 hrs...it's yummy and good for you), i just bought some atkins whole wheat bread (lower in carbs) and i eat a half slice of toast w/ egg salad on top (i use eggs, low fat helmans mayo, splenda, and natures seasoning in mine) it's about the only way i can eat eggs w/ out gagging, boca burgers (w/out the bun), they also have boca chicken patties and boca chicken nuggets, yogurt, cheese sticks (i can't stand the low fat cheese yucky, so i eat the regular ones), pork skins if i want something crunchy......i think that is about it. I don't eat pasta's, rice, or mashed potatoes. I do eat green veggies most of the time w/ cheese so it will add to my protein count. I haven't been eating fruits because they are high in sugar. I don't like to eat out much because every time i do i get an upset stomach...i contribute this to what they use to cook their food in so my days of eating out (we used to eat out AT LEAST 3 times per week sometimes more) are pretty much over. If I know we will be eating out I ususally bring a shake for myself just incase I can't eat the food. I don't get all of my protein in but I do try same with water. I just started excersizing this past Saturday (I had NO energy before, and still don't but i kick myself in the but to get out there and walk or ride my bike). I started out at 230 and am still stuck at 205. Colleen

I debated weather or not I would post. If I look at my weight loss since Feb. I see a total of 81 pounds gone forever - and I FEEL so much healthier. BUT, when I look at how much I have lost since surgery I feel a little low. Today I am 8 weeks out and have only lost 33 lbs. I'm trying to be grateful for everything I am losing - and after having a 2 week stall (in the first month) - I am happy that I'm at least losing something each week. I am faithful about my liquid, protein and calories - I only snack a couple times a week and I really feel like I'm doing the "right" things with my food. The only area that I'm weak in is the exercising. I started using the treadmill (very slowly I might add) and ended up hurting my knee. About the same time I tried to reorganize my closet and ended up in PT for my shoulders. Now I am going to the PT 3x a week - hoping to be able to advance to something more strenuous by Sept. I don't know what more I can do for now. Penny 378/330/297
